Story
Got her from Bishop shelter approximately 9 years ago. Had recently had checkup, rabies shot, and heartworm test. She had been with another dog for the past 9 years. Believed to be 10 years of age and is about 7 lbs. Need to rehome due to owner having medical issues and moving to a facility that does not take animals. Shes a sweet, shy girl. Would be best with a senior owner or adult that is home often as she loves to snuggle and is used to companionship.

Story
Roxie has been in her foster home for 7 months. In that time, she has been found to be: independent snuggly when she wants to be.. she will let you groom her she is a quiet girl at first but will let you know when its dinner time she does get along with all the dogs but doesnt really play with them. coexisting is a good word. .she does not need a home with another dog. And no little barky dogs she likes to chase. she walks great on lead. totally housebroken will bark to go out. crates great has some barrier reaction in a smaller crate, we are working on that.. something happened to her while she was kept in a small crate. That has pretty much subsided, we do feed in the crate the time and have seen no reactivity for months no children would be best, 16 or up okay.. no cats no chickens. she watches my neighbors like a hawk, good news she calls off she knows her name and has a recall. she does not know sit down etc. and at 10 do you need it? she does not get on furniture. i have 12 dogs here she does NOT get in the mix. Overall Roxy is a nice senior dog, that has had a crappy life. She needs time to adjust to a new home and new people, once she knows you, her tail wags and she dances when you come in. She does need a dog savvy person, she will make a great companion dog for older couple or older single person who wants a dog to walk watch the sunset with or watch tv with. She needs a quiet environ, and a slow consistent person she can trust.. Fostered in Bradenton. Vet visit upcoming. 1/17 vet visit unremarkable. healthy senior pup. no issues. PUPDATE 7/24 Roxie continues to just be a sweet girl!! Is there no one out there that needs a great companion dog??? She is really not a snuggler, but instead will walk alongside you and be your best friend. She really needs to move to another foster OR adopter, so she can experience new situations. apps can be found at ewenityfarmsbch.com.

Story
June Bug is a senior chihuahua whom Ive been told was one of many from a home/ owner surrender situation.. She is very dainty, scared of a lot of things. She doesnt see well, so I think that contributes to her fears. She does love to be held, and I think was a lap chi. She ignores other dogs, has sniffed a few and does not interact. She is very quiet does not bark, does her business out doors or on a pad. She hhas a great appetite, and seems healthy except for her eyesight. There do not seem to be cataracts present. She presents as snarling and mean, but if you talk to her, and pet her she relaxes and comes up to you to be picked up and held. This is a dog that is in need of a chi person. She is not the easiest but she is by far not the worst. She would do well in a home with a senior and one other chi or no other dogs. walks well on lead but does not like her neck handled. A harness would be a better choice for her. She is a burrower and has a chi bed that can go with her. She has an upcoming vet visit to examine her, but we will start taking applications. She will be a great dog for someone experienced with chihuahua. Fostered in Bradenton 9/13/23 UPDATE!! Junie has sight in her left eye only, so some of her cautiousness has to do with not seeing from the blind side. She is doing great with my 10 dogs and they are all much larger.. She accepts sniffs from them and she does interact, but does not play.. She is very alert and very healthy!! Loves to go outside, and now that she is used to where she is she prefers to potty outdoors. I can safely say she is house trained. She will jump up to my lap and hang out for a bit. She does well in her penned area, Ive yet to hear her bark. Loves to be outdoors in the sun. Rides well in the car with a harness. She will do well with an older couple or person, walks are great, and not a lot of activity in the home. Another dog is great for canine company, but not a puppy. She will be okay with older kids 15 and up. Great on walking on lead, harness will be better. She does need time to know new people, the less hands on the better. Let her approach you, she craves affection. Fostered in Bradenton.. PUPDATE 7/22 June Bug has STILL not found a suitable home!! She needs a chi person, and one who can give her time to get to know them. Junie is very food motivated and that is the key to bonding with her. If you are looking for a great little dog that is very little trouble this is your girl!! She loves her snuggle bed, loves to go for walks. She is just wary of new people. Loves to sunbathe. will make a great companion for someone, but be prepared not to share her with a lot of people!

Story
Gracie is a wonderful and joyful girl. She is slowly warming up to people and will need patience to adjust to her new person. It will take time to gain her trust. She still does not approach anyone other than her preferred person. She is timid in new situations, but with consistent reinforcement, she has made great strides and is now walking on a leash every morning with her foster buddies. With patience and love, she will come out of her shell. Right now, her preference is for women. She is in a foster home with cats, small and medium dogs. She is a peaceful coexister more than a playful friend. She LOVES to go for walks. and playing fetch with her tennis ball. She goes outside to do her businesses. She keeps a clean kennel over night or while you are at work, preferring to go potty outside. She is very treat motivated. She has been spayed, and is doing wonderful with training! She is being fostered in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Story
HEdgehog is a chi mix about a year old. One of 80 dogs from a hoarding situation in Alabama.. UTD on shots, hw negative, appt is set up for a spay this coming week 7/21. Hedgy is a submissive girl, fairly unsocialized but she is more of a people dog than a dogs dog. She will do well with someone who can take the time to train her, work with her, teach her commands, leash skills and get her out and about. She does very well when there is another dog around, once that is kind and playful not a bully. We had her to class this past week just to socialize and she did great. She was interested in people, and other dogs, she was not vocal and liked exploring the building.. She loves to be with you, but also enjoys the company of another dog. RIdes well in the car crated. Does well at the vets. She crate trained easily, is now housebroken and uses the puppy door with ease. Very receptive to training, and it needs to continue with her adopter. Manners classes are imperative for this dog just for socialization. She is medium activity level and would be a great dog for hiking, family outings, farmers market. moderate activity. Not sure about her water skills yet. Fostered in Bradenton area. Apps are found at ewenityfarmsbch.com...
