Story
one of many dogs confiscated from a hoarding situation. Hen has received shots and is now spayed. She is good with other dogs, needs time with people, shy not snippy. She darts in to see you with tail awagging and then gets a pet and darts away.. She allows touch all over, and is easily picked up and held. Penny is a dogs dog. that means she prefers the company of dogs to people. She needs lots of touch, car rides different places to see and meeting lots of new people all in small metered doses. Will need a patient loving foster or foster to adopt who knows chis. This acclimation is at her pace not yours. She does allow handling and is good with other dogs. Now house trained and loves her crate! She will fly into her crate when I leave or she is going to eat! Will need another kind patient dog to be with but one that is really playful.. She is a very active girl and loves to play. She really cannot go to a home without another dog to model herself after. Fences yard is a must. Not quite sure about being a snuggly girl yet, but its coming!! Likes to sleep next to you! fostered in Bradenton. Apps are found at ewenityfarmsbch.com.. She is 12 pounds soaking wet!

Story
Elsa is fairly new to us and is already fitting into our household.. She will not make waves with other pups and gets along just fine. She does not really play with them, respects their space. She is quiet, not really needy and self sufficient. She is a submissive gal, approx 4 yrs old. Fully vetted, walks fine on lead. She is very food driven, crate trained, housebroken and pad trained. She does have a limp in her right rear, xrays show an old hip injury. May benefit from surgery, but it is something she has had for a long time. We did start her on supplements. We are scheduling a trip to the vet for more info on that. Lower energy gal, will be good for a retired person or couple who wants a companion and good friend. She is a great little dog, happy and grateful. Fostered in the Bradenton area, and ready to go!!

Story
Scout is a spunky little Chihuahua mix who was born in February of 2018. He is a 17 pound cutie with a funny personality and a hilarious little snaggle tooth. Scout does not need to go to dog parks or on walks - just a cuddle on the couch with you and a warm blanket keeps him happy! Scout would do best in a home without babies or toddlers and preferably without other animals (so he can be the center of attention!).

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.    Ryan is a shy with people does well with his pack friends. Ryan was left out side when his owners moved. He was on his own for about 11 months when animal control finally caught him. No one could touch him. He has come a long ways but needs someone who understands that it will take time for him to warm up to them. He does sit on my lap now and will sit next to someone he knows. He is an extreme flight risk until he can trust the person he is with.  He would do well if he has a playmate his size. He needs an experienced owner. He is not overly affectionate but loves to come on my lap and loves his back rubs and head scratchs. He also needs a secure fenced yard. He does not do well on a leash. Only experienced people with this type of dog will be considered for Ryan. Will not answer any emails just applications will be reviewed and considered. Ryan does not do well out side his environment. Needs someone who will be with him most of the time so he can start to feel secure not taken on trips or watched by other people. It will take time and he will come around to be a wounderful companion.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    October 23, 2024, 12:06 am

Story
Macky Mack Mack came to us and landed with one of our awesome fosters at the end of March. At the time of his intake he had almost no hair on his body. He had lived outside on a lanai with minimal care and interaction for the majority of his life. Fast forward a few months and he's a little spitfire he is a little shadow and loves nothing more than to be with his people. Mack is estimated to be about 1-1.5 yrs old and is a chihuahua mix - perhaps a little papillon there too. He loves other dogs, knows how to fall into his pack spot very well and learns very quickly. He is left out during the day with no, well minimal destruction... paper towels, socks, perhaps a shoe are fair game! He gets you in the habit of keeping things picked up and put away pretty quickly! He is still in his puppy stage for the most part so playing with his mouth, jumping, needing to hear "no more than once are still in his day to day activities, but you won't find a better cuddler or side kick that will follow you everywhere! He is only about 15-20 lbs, so he's a little guy! Mack LOVVEEESS cats. But that love includes a bit of racing, tackling and snuggle love so any future kitty siblings must be willing to accept his version of love! He is a little skittish with new people so he will need a family with the patience to help him adjust. He plays rather rambunctiously and does jump some so we think he would do best with older kids. Mack's awesome foster has spent the last two months giving him the love and care that he needs and we are so impressed with the progress he's made. He isn't ready to be adopted today, as he still needs additional routine vet care, but he will be ready to go home soon!! If you are interested in adopting Mack please complete an adoption application at the link below. https://www.love4pawsfl.org/adoption-process

Story
Thanks for Paws-ing to take a look at me!  My name is Luly and I need a special kind of home.  I will love my special person, but it's going to take a bit for me to trust. I seem to be a bit more comfortable around women, and will need my new home to be a quiet place where I can decompress and have a little space to myself. I also require a house with a fenced in yard. I have seen a lot of homes in the past few months and really want to find my fur-ever person.  If you have experience with a fearful pet, who needs some space, please come and meet me.  (Training experience and chihuahua breed experience a must).  Of course, I have had a RUFF start in life, and am scared of many things. I know how to defend myself when I am frightened, but can be a really sweet girl once you get to know me.  I sit here waiting-  hoping that you are ready to change all of that for me!  If you would like to meet me, please complete an online questionnaire and one of our adoption counselors will be reaching out to see if I will be a good fit for you and your home.  Hope to see you soon!  https://www.fluffanimalrescue.org/adoption-application.   My adoption fee includes my sterilization, microchip and registration, all core vaccines to date, dewormer and 1st month's Flea and Heartworm Preventatives. Thanks for considering adoption! *Information deemed reliable, but not Guarenteed*     ##1572335##

If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com Hiiii! My name is Ella and I was born to LOVE! I am around 1 yrs old (Approx dob 02/01/2023) I’m extremely Velcro and loving. If you’re sitting, I’ll be in your lap giving you kisses straight on the mouth. I love every human from age 1-99! I love to snuggle and roll on my back for belly rubs and playing with toys. I enjoy dogs of all sizes and get along with all. I could go to a home with several other fur friends or be your one and only. I do bark a bit when the doorbell rings and guests come inside, but I calm down very quickly. I’m crate and potty trained but I’m also so well behaved I can be left out while you run errands. I also love to sleep in bed so much but I do very well sleeping in a crate. When I first got to my foster home, I had a pretty bad flea infestation that took most of my hair and I would dig so bad at my skin I had cuts all over my body. Now all of my hair is growing back and ally cuts are healed because all I needed was a couple baths and a flea pill! It only took 3 days for me to feel 100 percent better. My foster mom feeds me the best food twice a day and gobble it right up! My foster mom says I’m a dream dog. She said she would absolutely keep me, but it wouldn’t be fair to keep such a perfect dog for herself when she already has six of her own. She said she wants to find someone that’s been looking for their best friend and who’s truly deserving of a perfect girl like me. I am so excited to be loved like this and have no pain or itching. I play all day with my foster brothers and sisters in the backyard. I can’t believe this is what life is really like! I can’t wait to meet my forever family. Xoxo Ella Ella's adoption fee is $400 - obedience training is required after adoption and fully enclosed front or backyard is also required.
