Story
Smokey is 7 yrs old and we have had him since he was 8 weeks old. He is a wonderful dog. Loves to lay next to you and playful. Gets along with children but not so much with other dogs. He’s a very laid back dog when not playing. He knows how to sit lay down sit and stay. He does require a lot of attention so perfect for someone looking for a companion. Due to our busy life style we are making a hard but selfless decision to rehome him.

Weight: 13 lbs.Meet Laurel, a gentle soul with a heart full of hope, waiting for a loving home where she can truly blossom! This brave girl has been through so much, having come from a hoarding situation where she lived alongside over 140 dogs, many of whom had little to no human interaction. Understandably, Laurel is a bit fearful, but with patience and love, she has the potential to shine. Laurel is looking for an adopter who can offer her the time and understanding she needs to open up at her own pace. She’s also not alone on this journey—she arrived with her dear friend Joyce, and the two absolutely love each other`s company. They help each other feel brave, and a home with another dog would be a perfect fit for Laurel’s continued growth. We recommend a calm, quiet household, with older children or no children at all, so Laurel can feel safe and secure. Be sure to bring the whole family, including any dogs, for a meet and greet, to ensure it’s the right match for all. Laurel must go home with another resident dog, as other pups help her confidence and her ability to trust.Come meet Laurel today and give her the chance to find the happiness she so deserves. She’s waiting for someone like you to help her feel loved, cherished, and finally at home.Dogs: Does Well With-Required to go home with a resident dogCats: UnknownChildren: Unknown-Older Kids Required

Story
Princess Diamond sure knows what it is like to be pampered. She likes to be catered to, does things at her own pace, when she is ready and when she is up to it. She can be a little shy when people she doesn’t know approach her too quickly, or when she is in places she is unfamiliar with. That said, at other times, she will surprise you by greeting new people with her butt wiggling. She will walk right up to the strangers, butt wiggles and all and solicit attention and affection. She doesn’t like to be picked up and sat in your lap when she isn’t the one to initiate it. However, when she feels like lap snuggles, she doesn’t care if you’re ready for it, she will leap in your lap and park herself there for snuggles and butt caresses. She also likes curling up next to you in bed. When you are not home, Diamond will sprawl out on your bed, because you know, it is hers, she just lets you lay in it. Although she is crate trained, she doesn’t need to be crated if home alone. She doesn’t get into things. She will nap or busy herself with toys, she LOVES toys Diamond is 6-7 years old, 10lbs Chihuahua. She is looking for a quiet home where she has a quiet, private Princess chamber to escape to. A home with older kids 13+ and dogs that are submissive would be ideal for Diamond . Diamond is crate trained, she loves car rides, and going for walks If you are interested in adopting her please email Bshrout@cityofmarion.in.gov

Story
Meet Mr. Milton! Milton is a 12 pound, 6 month old chihuahua mix. His ears might be bigger than the rest of his body and they are always moving! This sweet boy loves to be right by any person’s side -he’s not picky- and is quite affectionate. Milton will want to go everywhere with you if you let him. He has been working really hard at crate training and doing really well for his age at potty training. Milton is great with other dogs once he warms up to them, fine with cats and also good with kids. He is a great car rider and walks well on a leash. Milton is microchipped and on monthly heartworm prevention. He will be neutered and given a rabies vaccination this week, with a DHLPP booster to follow! If you are wanting to add Milton to your family and give him a forever home, please submit your application at www.pawsofadamscounty.com. Please answer all questions completely and honestly! He can't wait to meet you!https://www.pawsofadamscounty.com/adoption-foster-appwww.pawsofadamscounty.com
