Story
Lucky was surrendered to Brave after his owner could no longer take care of him. Lucky is an energetic guy who loves long walks (1-2 miles), but is also happy to curl up and nap most of the day. Lucky does well with older children, pre-teens and teens. He is not comfortable around younger children, especially if the environment is busy or chaotic. Lucky is the perfect dog for someone looking for a companion to watch movies with all day. He comes with a wardrobe - hand-made sweater, and raincoat and fleece, which can be combined as a parka. He has had one previous case of pancreatitis 5 years ago so eats a low fat diet. We believe this puppy/dog is a Chihuahua mix and is about 13 years old. This puppy/dog is fostered in a private home in Lincoln. The adoption fee is $200 which helps cover the cost of vetting procedures. Adoptable pets will have received age-appropriate vaccines and dewormings, a microchip, heartworm test (if applicable) and a spay/neuter. If this pet is under 6 months old, it may still need to be spayed/neutered. This procedure is scheduled through Brave by the age of 6 months and the cost is covered through the adoption fee. 4 year old full breaded male chihuahua/neutered/rabies shot up to date/potty trained/ trained on many commands. No longer available to his services due to travels for work. Looking for someone who has a home with a backyard, animal lover and is willing to adapt him. He is very shy and very protective around strangers but once he gets used to you, he is friendly. 10/28/15: Surrender reason: Can't afford. Poncho is a cutie! He can be a little shy at first, but once he gets to know you he is a happy little guy. Poncho likes to get out and explore. He would enjoy a home with daily walks in the park. Poncho also likes to do his own thing, so it is suggested that he meet children prior to adoption. During the temperament test Poncho was a little shy with another dog his size. It is recommended that he meet other dogs prior to adoption as well.
