10/28/15: Surrender reason: Can't afford. Scrimney is a cutie! He can be a little shy at first, but once he gets to know you he is a happy little guy. Scrimney likes to get out and explore. He would enjoy a home with daily walks in the park. Scrimney also likes to do his own thing, so it is suggested that he meet children prior to adoption. During the temperament test Scrimney was a little shy with another dog his size. It is recommended that he meet other dogs prior to adoption as well. Mario has been with us for about 3.5 years. The dog is good with my kids but i know when I take him to the park he does bark at other kids. He was potty trained inside the house but lately he has not been even though he is taken outside at night and in the morning. I think he has some behavioral issues because he pees inside the house when we don’t t take him out with us. We do not keep him on a kennel though. Other than this he is a good and playful dog.

Lucky was surrendered to Brave after his owner could no longer take care of him. Lucky is an energetic guy who loves long walks (1-2 miles), but is also happy to curl up and nap most of the day. Lucky does well with older children, pre-teens and teens. He is not comfortable around younger children, especially if the environment is busy or chaotic. Lucky is the perfect dog for someone looking for a companion to watch movies with all day. He comes with a wardrobe - hand-made sweater, and raincoat and fleece, which can be combined as a parka. He also has a kennel, dog bed and sofa blanket as well as a harness and leashes. This puppy/dog is fostered in a private home in Lincoln. The adoption fee is $200 which helps cover the cost of vetting procedures. Adoptable pets will have received age-appropriate vaccines and dewormings, a microchip, heartworm test (if applicable) and a spay/neuter. If this pet is under 6 months old, it may still need to be spayed/neutered. This procedure is scheduled through Brave by the age of 6 months and the cost is covered through the adoption fee.
