Story
Honey is an 8 year old chihuahua mix. She was in an accident at a very young age and due to that has the cutest wonky walk, but it doesn’t slow her down one bit. She is a pup that has truly been loved and has so much love to give. Honey is cat, kid, adult, and mostly dog friendly. She’s a bit timid and well…chihuahua like around larger dogs though she has tolerated her two larger foster siblings very well and absolutely loves her chi mix foster brother.Medical - Honey is diabetic. She is on insulin twice per day and has a regulated diet, but with proper care and monitoring she will have many more happy healthy years to share with her family.Honey is looking for her forever home.? Easley, SC? 8 year old Chihuahua mix?? 11 lbs? Up to date on vaccinations and heartworm negative? Loves car rides? Walks great on leash? House trained (may have accidents due to diagnosis)? Crate trained? No aggression? Comes when called, knows basic commands.? Kid friendly? Dog friendly? Cat friendlyMedical - requires close monitoring as insulin doses may need adjustment ##2089894##

Story
Ladies, here is the man for you... he prefers women over the male species and is a typical chihuahua who is loyal to his person. He is good with dogs his size. He is around 7 years old and needs a loving home as he approaches his senior years. If you understand those sweet chi personalities and think Bo might be your man, please read on. RECOMMENDATIONS & PROCEDURES Please note, the following are recommendations for puppies and different breeds of dogs. We will evaluate each application on an individual basis to see what is best for the dog/puppy and the potential adopter. Puppies are very fragile and not toys. We recommend children be at least six years old to be considered to adopt a puppy. Small breed dogs ( such as chihuahuas, yorkies, shih tzus , etc) we recommend children be at least eight years old. Herding, working breeds we recommend children to be at least 12 years old. Again these are recommendations. Adoption Procedures: We will travel up to two hours ( one way) to do physical home visits and we do not do virtual home visits. Most of our dogs come from bad situations and we want to know where their forever home is going to be. While we do not require fencing on all dogs, certain dogs that need a fenced in yard, will not be adopted unless potential adopter has one. We also adopt some dogs to people who live in apartments ( as long as the landlord approves) but not all dogs. We do not adopt to anyone under 21 years of age. We also do not feel college students are the best fit for most of our dogs. Most of our dogs again, come from bad situations and need lots of attention. Most college students have financial responsibilities and we feel need to be focused on school. Our goal is to match the dog with a family that fits the dog’s needs. We are solely focused on what is best for each dog in our rescue. These dogs have had enough moving around, dumped out like trash, and we want to ensure they find their forever home. We do require you sign a contract and if at any time you cannot continue to provide for the dog, the dog comes back to the rescue. Your first step to adoption is filling our our on line application. You will then get an automated email stating we got your application Next our adoption coordinator will be in touch either by phone or email If your references check out, a home visit will be scheduled. After the home visit is done, a meet and greet with the dog you are interested in and/or any other available dogs we have will be scheduled If the dog and you are a match, contract will be signed and you may take your new family member home. Story
Our sweet boy Barney came from a very bad hoarding situation and was understandably a bit shook up at first. He has since started to warm up to his foster mom and is doing better each day. Timid at first, but if you give him a little time, he is your best buddy. If Barney looks like your boy, please read our adoption procedures and fill out our on line application Listed below is our adoption procedures for Clifford’s Army Rescue. Story
He is a 7yr old chihuahua. Roscoe is the sweetest, spunkiest little companion dog. He loves being with his person and would really like it if you never had to leave the house without him if that's OK with you. He'll claim your lap and then your heart. Roscoe loves to snuggle, is very smart and easily trainable. He's mostly potty trained but because he came from a hoarder house, he sometimes needs reminding that the potty is outside. Roscoe is shy with strangers especially men and will need some time and patience to warm up to you He gets along great with all dogs, cats, and people. He will do best with a home with other dogs and has a brother if you're interested. He's not a fan of bugs though and will make it his mission to catch them. He's absolutely perfect and hopes you'll be his perfect stay at home person. Adoption Fee $175.00 Adoption Application: mercyrescue.org
