Hey there! I’m Poncho! I’m a 4 month old chihuahua/pit bull mix, weighing in at 24 lbs of pure love and joy! I’m all about running, playing, and having a blast, but don’t worry— I’ll never outgrow my love for cuddling! Snuggling up and giving puppy kisses is my very favorite thing to do. I get along great with cats—there’s one in my foster home, and I’m totally chill about her. I’m way more focused on playtime and bonding with my humans and my foster brother, Guy. He’s an alum of Adopt a Pit and is three times my size, but I keep up! Did I mention I’m one of the sweetest pups you’ll ever meet? If you’re looking for a playful, cuddly little love bug, I’m for you! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter. Say hello to this handsome boy Tanner! Tanner came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of his own. We have been told Tanner is a 5-year-old intact male Chihuahua Mix. Tanner's owners told us that he is great with people, dogs, crate trained and housebroken. Tanner is a little shy here at the shelter but does warm up over time. Tanner love to cuddle in your lap. Tanner doesn't seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Tanner walks well on a leash and did great for his exam where is weighed in at 9 lbs. and was given his Bordatella, Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and is heartworm negative. Our adoptions are $100 cash/ local check. Our visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. We are located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331.
