Story
Billy is a very sweet but shy boy who barely escaped death with his buddy Butch. They were already in the euth room in a shelter in Texas, but fortunately we were able to pull them just in time. Billy and Butch were roaming the streets with a few other dogs when they were picked up by ACS. It has been a rough start to life for these two, but we are hoping they will find a wonderful family to show them that life can be good and not all humans are bad or scary. They are definitely bonded and must be kept together. Billy adjusted pretty quickly, but little Butch is frightened and less trusting and will take a little longer to warm up. Once he begins to trust and relax, you will see his loving and kind personality emerge. Please submit an application to meet these two special boys. Canaananimalsanctuary.org

Story
Butch was so frightened when arriving to us, but who wouldnt have been. Picked up as a stray with his buddy, Billy. Taken to the shelter where he was minutes from losing his life. Then transported across the country with lots of other barking and frightened pups. It’s been a whirlwind of stressful events. But even so, Butch began to relax slightly after a few days and after a week he allowed us to touch him. It just takes a little time and patience. Billy warms up a lot faster, but with time these two will be a delightful addition to any family. We are looking for someone with the time and patience to bring the best out in this sweet boy who Wants so badly to trust and believe there is good that exists in this scary world. At not quite three weeks we are now receiving kisses from Butch. Both boys are vaccinated, neutered, flea and tick treated and microchipped. Please submit an application to meet these sweet little guys. Canaananimalsanctuary.org

Story
Hello, I'm Ondalay, a mellow soul in a bustling world. My days are spent in quiet contemplation, watching the world go by. I'm a Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and loyalty. I've got a soft spot for gentle souls who appreciate a slower pace. I'm not one for grand adventures, but I'm a steadfast companion for cozy evenings at home. I've got a heart that's been filled with love and I'm ready to share it. I'm just waiting for the right person to share my calm, loyal spirit with. Adopting me means gaining a faithful friend who will stay by your side, offering unconditional love and loyalty. I'm hoping to find a peaceful home where I can share my quiet strength and unwavering companionship.I'm 5 years old, neutered, current on vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, heartworm tested negative, on heartworm prevention and microchipped, my adoption donation is $50. If you would be interested in adopting please visit us at 4 Commercial Ave Washington Court House Ohio. Story
Hey there! I’m Poncho! I’m a 4 month old chihuahua/pit bull mix, weighing in at 24 lbs of pure love and joy! I’m all about running, playing, and having a blast, but don’t worry— I’ll never outgrow my love for cuddling! Snuggling up and giving puppy kisses is my very favorite thing to do. I get along great with cats—there’s one in my foster home, and I’m totally chill about her. I’m way more focused on playtime and bonding with my humans and my foster brother, Guy. He’s an alum of Adopt a Pit and is three times my size, but I keep up! Did I mention I’m one of the sweetest pups you’ll ever meet? If you’re looking for a playful, cuddly little love bug, I’m for you! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   January 7, 2025, 3:14 pm

Story
Turkleton (Turk) is an opinionated, energetic, and lovable dog that has been a part of our family for the past 8 years. He loves a snuggle, scratches behind the ears, and quality time with his humans. Unfortunately, Turk has not reacted well to having a new baby in our home. We have tried to acclimate him and make it work, but we feel finding him a new home is the best thing to give him the life he deserves. He gets a little overexcited at times, such as when people come and go, and needs a human with a willingness to understand and accommodate his chihuahua quirks. While he may not be a fit for everyone, he is loyal and will give you lots of love and laughs. Would be great for a single person, young couple, or anyone willing to give him the patience and attention he needs. We love him and want to see him go to a good home.
