Story
Taco is eight years old. He is sweet but timid. He likes a quiet home and does not care to go for walks or play much. Je woud be perfect for someone who lives alone. He is used to being home alone during the day and spends a lot of time either in his kennel or sitting next to you on the couch. He is housebroken, bu he is also male so he may still "mark" areas in a new home. He is about 11-pounds and mostly black with some graying. He has really short legs and a wider body. He doesn't play with toys, but he loves treats! He has been with us for awhile, but we hae another dog that he does not get along with...mostly her fault because she wants to play with him but he is NOT intrested in her at all. He is not agressive - but he will bark at her and scare her. He does bark when there is noise outside of the home - but he knows the command "no bark" and gernerally listens well. He does not need a fenced in yard, he is not a runner. He is very low energy.

Story
This adorable little guy is LUCKY. When he first came to our pound, he was missing most of his fur and with nails so long, he could barely walk. He was adopted but is now back with us again because his mama fell ill. LUCKY is a sweet friendly boy who doesn't know a stranger. He's playful, silly, active and energetic. But he also loves his cuddling time and prefers to sleep in bed with his person. LUCKY loves to go for walks and/or run around a fenced in yard. He is good with other dogs. We don't know about cats or dogs. Harrison County Dog Pound, 82900 Toot Rd. Cadiz, OH 43907 Open: Monday-Friday 10am-4pm; Saturday 9am-2pm; Closed Sundays and holidays. Out of state adoptions welcomed. Applications are available at the pound and online at harrisoncountydogpoundvolunteers, org. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ONE FREE TRAINING SESSION WITH ADOPTIONACTIVE EXPERIENCED ADOPTER NEEDED Time for an update on me! My name is Beau. I was surrendered  to the rescue by my family, because I was nipping at the younger children. There were far too many children(6) to pick on me. I've been with my foster mom for a year now and I think we have a few things straightened out, regarding what kind of a home I need. I'm currently living in a quiet country home with a fenced yard where I can expend some energy chasing the squirrels.. We have a routine and infrequent visitors. There are other little dogs here and we get along fine, but I do not like strange dogs and would be best as an only pet. I like to play with  squeaky toys, rope toys and nyla bones, am reliably house and crate trained and love to ride in the car and snuggle with foster mom when our day is done.  I will be 3 years old soon, weigh 23 lbs. and have the cutest underbite. I am healthy, low maintenance, caught up on all my vaccinations and heart worm negative. I am VERY REACTIVE to new people and situations(stranger danger) and will bark and show fear aggression. I can be worked through this, if you have experience at socializing reactive dogs. It will be a work in progress to help me. IF YOU HAVE A QUIET HOME, WITH NO CLOSE NEIGHBORS OR CHILDREN, we could be best friends.  Please see lots of pictures  and more about me on my Facebook page under Rose's Rescue Facebook. Did I mention I am very smart(and cute!)?  If interested, you can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here:  adoption application For anyone viewing this on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal you will need to go to our website  www.rosesrescue.net  to fill out the online adoption application. You can usually find more pictures of the animals there too. Click on our name "Roses Rescue" in blue above to be taken directly to our website. Story
Meet Paizley and her sister Abbey- Born on September 22, 2017, Paizley and Abbey are sweet, loving sisters looking for their forever home together. Surrendered to Medina County SPCA through no fault of their own, these girls are now in search of a quiet, peaceful environment where they can thrive. In their previous home, they became stressed around larger dogs and weren’t fond of active, playful cats, so a home without these would be ideal. Paizley and Abbey are both pee pad trained and enjoy going for walks to do their business. They also love playing and exploring in a fenced-in yard. Like typical Chihuahuas, they bark at new people and will need a bit of time to adjust, but once they do, they’ll become your favorite snuggle buddies. Currently, Paizley and Abbey are in foster care and are available by appointment only. If you’re interested in meeting and adopting these sweet sisters, please call (330) 723-7722 or email info@medinacountyspca.com. Adoption applications can be found on our website at medinacountyspca.com and can be submitted via the above email. Help these loving girls find the peaceful home they deserve! BONDED TO ABBEY MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER. Paizley has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has tested neg. for heartworm which is included in the $155 adoption fee. If you would like to adopt this dog, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays)
