Who is looking for the sweetest, cutest dog in all the land?!  There has to be someone looking for Ms. Pixie as her foster family says she's as sweet as pie and would make the perfect addition to someone's family.  Pixie is an 8 month, 8lb chug (chihuahua/pug mix) ready to find her forever home.  Although not required, Pixie would do best in a home with another doggie playmate.  Pixie loves being around other dogs similiar to her size so even if you don't have another dog, perhaps you know someone who could have doggie play dates?  Pixie not only loves to snuggle and play with other pups but she loves people as well.  Pixie is the perfect blend of play and calm.   Pixie is crate trained but has not yet mastered potty training so her new forever family will need to demonstrate patience and consistency so she knows to use the potty outside. Pixie seems to ignore cats but we do not recommend small children in her forever home. Her foster family says she is so sweet and bonds very quickly to her person. So if you're looking for a snuggly, playful and velcro dog - Pixie is the girl for you! "You make me wanna...Start a new relationship with you. This is what you do." Although his moves might not be as smooth as his namesake, Usher is sure to steal your heart and make you want to start a new relationship as best friends.  Usher is a 6 year old, 28lb mixed breed (Chiuahua and Daschund) with the perfect balance of energy and chill.  He sports a mohawk, which is the obvious style for a dog that loves to play hard with his toys, but also loves to settle down and cuddle.  Usher unexpectedly found himself in rescue after his owner was placed in a long term care facility.  He was clearly very loved and taken care of, and just wants to be by your side.  It seems like he picks a favorite person, and wants to be with that person as much as possible.  In his foster home, he has chosen his foster mom as his bestie.  He is friendly and gentle with the kids in his foster home (12 and 10), and gets along well with the other dogs, medium and small sized.  Usher absolutely hates the crate, and gets extremely anxious when he is inside.  He would probably do best with someone who does not plan to crate him and wouldn't mind him cuddling up under the blankets.  He is not destructive and does fine when left alone.  He is pee pad trained, and has rarely had accidents outside of the pads.  I do believe he could be trained to go outside with patience and consistency.  Usher is UTD on vaccinations, neutered, and has so much love left to give.  If you are ready to open your heart and homne to endless hugs and kisses, apply for Usher today! ##2320287##

Harry, Henry and Luna were born 9-28-21. They are pee pad trained and were never outside. They are chihuahua/pug mix. Harry is long hair and the other 2 are short hair. We had to teach them English and deal with their fear of the outside world. It took several months for them to acclimatize to shelter living and getting brave enough to leave the cage. Going outside was a scary event for them. They are still nervous about leashes and we carry them outside. They are walking once out. The boys are doing better than their sister Luna. They are very dependent on each other for comfort. We are looking for a family for them that has enough love and patience to continue their learning the outside is not such a bad place. UPDATE: 9-8-24 the 3 amigos are now walking on leash and walking out the door. They have made good progress in the last month.

Our 3-year-old Chihuahua (4/28/22) has become very aggressive towards our larger Senior Dog. He won't let her eat and bullies her. Though mostly house trained, he's started marking all of her toys and bedding. I'm afraid one of them is going to get hurt. He is otherwise a great dog. Very good with children. Energetic, affectionate. Definitely a few Chihuahua quirks, but wonderful for walks and in public places. No aggression when he sees other dogs on walks.

We got Bowie from a breeder in Erie, PA. He has been a fine dog, but recently is not getting along with our older basset hound. He is not an aggressive dog, loves the kids and likes to play. Always fine around other dogs also. He was fixed, house trained, walks on a leash very well and has had regular vet visits to Banfield Vets.

I am now ready to start on this new chapter of my life with lots of hugs, puppy kisses and playtime!!! I came from a hoarding situation where I was housed with 96 (yes, 96!) other dogs. I have never known until now the kind words, gentle pets that other pups take for granted. I am finding that this is pretty darn nice!! I'm all for these snuggles and belly rubs!! As for my previous situation, I will need time to come to terms with my living situation. Once you have gained my trust with slow movements, gentle words and maybe a treat or two ;) I do become very loving sweet and cuddly. It just takes me a little more time then some to get there, but I do get there!! I'm probably around 3 years old and I come in at about 10lbs. I'm also already house trained so that lets us get right to the snuggles!!! I love playing and am energetic, ready to share in all your adventures from the mundane daily to your weekend exciting!! I do good in the crate but would much prefer being close to my person!! I would do best in a quiet home where my person(s) are either retired or work from home. I would also do best in a home with another 4 legged sibling to help me feel more comfortable. I've got a beautiful white and black coat that is super easy in the maintenance department, kind of a wash-n-go type of gal. You do know what that means, don't ya? Yep yep, more time for the spoil me rotten department!! I am sooooo ready to find me a family and be that lil heartbeat at your feet or preferably on your lap, so if you think I'd be a pawsome fit for your home and you have the time and patience to let me find my peace, please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application!
