Story
To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE   Age: 3 months (as of 1/15/2025) Weight: 2.4-4.0 lbs This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Introducing the three Amigos puppies! We have three handsome little (and we mean LITTLE!) boys – Conrad, Clifford, and Chet.  They are all eager to find their new homes. We think these pups may be chihuahua mix, but your guess is as good as ours.  Clifford comes from an active foster home where he has been living with two adults, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and a bird.  Clifford’s foster family reports that he is an affectionate little dude who is outgoing and playful. He loves playing chase and bitey-mouth with his canine friends, and he also enjoys a chew toy or squeaky toy (he’s pint-sized, so they are too!).  Is it naptime?  Clifford is down for some cuddles on the sofa, and he definitely won’t turn down lap time with his people! Being so young, Clifford would love to find a family who has the time and patience to raise a puppy; he has so much to learn!  He'll need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that all our dogs - and especially puppies - attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, and it also helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and his human family. It’s lots of fun, too! Puppies are a lot of work and require a strong commitment to teaching them obedience, socializing with other dogs and people, playing with them and loving them to pieces. It takes a lot of time, energy and patience to bring up a puppy and it’s totally worth it! If you're ready to make that awesome commitment to bring up Clifford, then fill out an application today! Wet puppy kisses and warm, furry snuggles are awaiting! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not by breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.  January 9, 2025, 11:14 am

Story
To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE Age: 2 yrs. old (as of 12/5/24) Weight: 16 lbs. (12/5/24)    This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Scooby Dooby is a young playful pup who is ready for new adventures. This handsome little guy comes from a situation where he was living in close quarters with 5 other dogs. Unfortunately, his owner could not keep them all and Scooby was rescued and fostered. In his active foster home, little Scooby got along with all of the dogs and all adults. There were no cats or kids in his foster home, but he was playful, interested and calm when meeting new doggie friends. He is fine out and about in his home during the day and is used to sleeping in a crate at night.  Scooby is calm on car rides, working on his house training and is respectful when he is corrected. What a smart boy!! He likes his independence but is affectionate and also likes to chill. He's just an all-around great little fella who will make a wonderful addition to his new family. Scooby Dooby is ready for his next chapter and to find his furever home.  Scooby’s story: He was part of a loving pack of five dogs owned by a woman who faced an unexpected crisis: homelessness. She had found a new place to stay but was only allowed to bring one dog, so she chose to live in her car, prioritizing her furry companions over her own comfort. Despite her efforts to find new homes for her beloved dogs, her attempts to re-home them had been unsuccessful. As harsh winter temperatures set in, with nights plunging into the 20s and wind chills dipping into the low teens, one of our southern rescue partner’s compassionate volunteers stepped in to assess the dogs for potential intake. A heartfelt post on social media prompted a response from a local family willing to adopt one of the dogs. The dogs are now in loving foster homes and doing great!
