Hi, I’m Rosalee, a vibrant Chi mix with a unique coat of red, black, white, and even some cool-looking blonde patches. I’m a spry little lady at just 1 year old and a light 17lbs. I’m spayed, up to date on all my vaccinations, and heartworm negative. I’m a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children. I have spina bifida, which means I can’t be potty trained, but that doesn’t stop me from running and jumping joyfully. I’ve also had surgery for a luxating patella and have recovered beautifully, completing all my physical therapy like a champ. I’m looking for a family that will embrace my energetic spirit and my special needs with open arms. If you’re looking for a companion who’s full of life and love, I might just be the perfect addition to your home. Let’s make every day together a beautiful adventure! I am being fostered in Hampton, VA but can be transported to nearby areas for a well-fitting and supportive home. You must be 21 or older to apply. This boy is a gem! He's absolutely perfect, a real turnkey dog. Fostered in Vero Beach, FL, small enough to fit easily into a bag for in-cabin flying. Enrique is a 7 year old, 7 lb male Chihuahua. He’s tiny but mighty, and a lil bit stocky. This super sweet social butterfly boy is an easy keeper and steals the heart of everyone he meets Enrique gets along with dogs of all sizes, cats and has never met a stranger. He is playful and affectionate with other dogs and would enjoy a canine companion but people are his PASSION! We have not seen him around children so perhaps older children would be best with his tiny size. His favorite place is in your lap or snuggled up in your neck. Enrique is fully vetted, even bloodwork and a dental with 15 teeth removed, ouch. Enrique is great in the car and on a leash. He is truly a dog that you can easily take anywhere and even housetrained. He does need help getting into the bed so will bark to let you know he wants up. Snuggling, snoozing and snacking are Rique’s favorite pastimes, and he loves a little play time. He is content to stay in bed or explore the town. Meet Curious Puppy Coco. This beautiful brindle boy is only 17 weeks old and 7 lbs. Just look at that face. It definitely tells you that this curious little guy will be in the middle of everything. This little boy is all legs. You just want to smile when you look at him. He is at that awkward stage in life with legs and feet going every where. Coco is a very sweet boy. He is super friendly and does not meet a stranger. He happily goes up to everyone to be petted. Coco loves other dogs and has a big time playing with his foster brothers. He is a bit of a pest to the older dogs though as he always wants to play. Coco would love to have another young brother or sister to play with. He definitely needs a companion to keep him busy. When Coco does settle down he is a great little cuddle boy and will curl up in your lap or beside you to go to sleep. This little guy is doggie door and crate trained. He walks OK on a leash but does need some additional training. He is very smart though and catches on quickly. He will be an excellent addition to the right family. Anna is a 9 year old, 10lb adorable Chug (chihuahua/pug mix) who has endured some big human turmoil recently and ended up in a Middle Tennessee shelter. Not much is known of her history, but her underweight condition indicates at least some neglect took place. A really devoted foster mom for critter.Cavalry turquoise noticed her profile in the shelter and realize that being a senior she might not be chosen very easily by the general public. This young foster woman is making sure that Anna is gaining much needed weight slowly. She’s starting to put on weight and enjoys her meal times-with the occasional treat of whipped cream. While she is timid at first and a little wary of quick movements, it doesn’t take long for her to warm up and become your best snuggle buddy. Anna has some spunk and can run up stairs as fast as any puppy. She seems to be good with other dogs and initiates playing, though she doesn’t know what to do with toys. She does well on a leash and going outside. She is catching on to potty training (another example of her neglected past) and we are wanting someone who works from home or is retired as she does exhibit some separation anxiety in her first week with us. She has found the cozy comforts of warm blankets and fluffy pillows and burrows underneath. Anna has lots of love to give and deserves a family to spoil her. Prince was rescued from the streets of Ft. Worth, TX and transported to Nashville, TN about 5 years ago. This handsome boy is 6 years old now and is a darling white Chihuahua weighing 14.5 pounds. He is very sweet and loves to cuddle and loves to burrow under a blanket at the end of the bed and sleep. He enjoys being petted, but doesn't like being picked up suddenly. He loves to go for walks on a leash and like most Chihuahuas he loves car rides and going for adventures. This boy, certain has certainly has his list of blue quirky, things that need to be respected and observed and left alone with. He guards his toys and food so we don't take them away from him. His favorite toys are toys that squeak and he is gentle with them. Prince will do really well in a mature home of empty nesters or senior persons that are retired. A home with young children would not be the best place for him. Young children stress him out. Prince needs someone .that understands he's a sassy Chihuahua and is willing to respect his boundaries. Someone with Chihuahua experience would be amazing! Princess fine with other dogs and cats and a quiet home life. He is housebroken and doesn't destroy things when home alone. Prince does have the wonderful sides to him. And the sides that need to be respected and observed.As with most small breed, dogs who can be particular. If you would like to give this young chihuahua, a beautiful home and life where he can devote all his love and attention to you.
