Check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info! ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on September 6th and arrive on September 7th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 8/6/2024 Estimated Date of Birth: 5/14/24 Dog Name: Sterling Sex: Male Estimated Breed Mix: Chihuahua Approximate Age: 12 Weeks Approximate Weight: 12 lbs (we think he will be on the boarder of a small/medium breed) Adoption Fee: $550 Description: Sterling was found as a stray at just 7 weeks old, it was obvious he had a rough start to life. He had a few scrapes and he was very skinny. Regardless of what he had endured he was so happy and sweet. He is very docile and is now at a healthy weight. He loves to cuddle and be carried around. He loves to play and is a gentle soul! He has a beautiful blonde/cream coat and stunning green/blue eyes!We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. August 15, 2024, 9:27 pm

Story
Booga and Lucy are bonded 12yo sisters, chihuahua/rat terrier mixes, ~12lbs each. They came to CDMI after their family went through a divorce and could no longer keep them. They are now looking for their forever home to live out their golden years! They are your typical Chihuahua's and are suspicious of strangers (in particular me) but warm up quickly with some treats and love! They may be 12yo but you wouldn't guess that by how they run around the yard like lively puppies! But they also love to cuddle and lounge around, as long as their person is nearby they are happy! They are good around children! We have been told they are good with other dogs, but have not been able to dog test them with other dogs yet. They have not been around cats. They are altered and UTD on necessary vaccines. If interested in adopting this sweet senior pair please apply with Chained Dogs MKE Inc at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CDMI/Dog

Story
Faith is a sweet, shy, quiet, 4yo, 7lb chihuahua. She takes a while to trust; her last people dumped her at a shelter with her baby. But once she trusts you, you'll be surprised at how great she is. She'll need some training & guidance, but she'll fall into your routine quickly. She does like to chase & bite cats, so a home without them is better. She's a gem. No apartments please. DATCP#483538
