Story
Any potential adopter, please read thoroughly: Duchess is a sweet and loving cocker spaniel mixed pup who melts hearts with her big brown eyes and silky soft fur. She's a bit of a firecracker, though - this headstrong, 7 month old, little girl knows what she wants and isn't afraid to ask for it. But don't worry - she just needs guidance and boundaries to help her grow into a well-behaved adult dog. *Her needs:* * A family who will spend lots of time with her, as she thrives on attention and interaction * Guidance and consistency with potty training, as she's still learning the ropes * A safe and secure space to play and exercise, as she's full of energy and loves to run around * A crate or designated area to keep her safe when left alone, as she can be prone to chewing if left unsupervised * Positive reinforcement training, as she's food-motivated and eager to please *Her likes:* * Playing fetch and chasing after toys * Snuggling up for cuddles and snoozles * Going on adventures with her favorite humans * Getting treats and praise for good behavior * Learning new tricks and commands *Having other pups to play with - she loves a good game of chase and tug of war. *Her dislikes:* * Being left alone for long periods of time without supervision * Being scolded or punished for mistakes - Duchess responds best to positive reinforcement *Being approached too quickly - she will pee from fear. *Her special talents:* * Duchess is a quick learner and picks up new skills in no time * She's a master snuggler and loves to burrow under blankets for cozy cuddles * She's got a wagging nub that never stops moving when she's happy *She's undeniably the cutest pup you've ever seen Duchess is a very special puppy but needs exactly the right home where she can thrive!! Please read and re-read above and if you feel your family is the perfect fit for her then please apply to adopt her!! Local adoption fee is $400 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $750 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Howie the hugger. Yep that is what we call this beautiful purebred golden colored Cocker Spaniel. This boy is a sweet spirit inside and out. This 2-year-old boy weighs only 22 lbs. and came from a very sad environment where he was filthy and matted and emotionally abused. He is not damaged except for the fact that you can't raise your hand over his head without him cowering a little bit. This boy has the greatest love for people and he brings a smile to the heart of his foster mom. He will make a remarkable family pet because he only wants to be loved and to love you back equally. Howie gets along great with other dogs and even likes the resident cat in his foster home. Due to the emotional neglect that he has suffered from, he needs some specially focused attention and love. We know there are Cocker Spaniel fans out there who will recognize what a beautiful treasure this boy will be to adopt. Somewhat shy at first, he will melt your heart in 60 seconds. Howie weighs 22 pounds and needs to gain some weight, but overall he's very healthy. He likes car rides, walks and always wants to please. He has been neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, prevention and microchipped. If you are interested please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.  he is ready to pack his bags and travel on the van northward to a new and loving home PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 13, 2024, 1:29 pm

Story
My name is Malloy and I am a 2 year old pure bred Cocker Spaniel that came from a very bad and desperate home environment that was not clean and it showed in the condition of my matted fur and dirty body.  I have been shaved down with a summer cut and I feel so much better. Everyone comments on how handsome I am and I kind of puff up with a newly found sense of confidence.  Right now I weigh about 25 pounds and I am told over and over that I am a really sweet and friendly boy.  Considering my former life of isolation and very dirty living conditions, and being passed around to a few homes, they say it is a miracle that I am so emotionally happy and even keeled. I am ready to breath a breath of fresh air and start over in a whole new home with good people to love me.  I am very nice to all my foster siblings at the foster house I am in now.  I have not met the cats, but my foster mom says she knows I would be respectful and gentle.  I have no aggression whatsoever in my personality and no mean bones anywhere.  I just want and need love.  I am getting the hang of the bathroom break schedule and I am fully neutered now with all my shots done and I am cleared of worms and even a negative heartworm test.  I just want a great new life to get started very soon.  Are you looking for a wonderful Cocker Spaniel to love you?  Well I am raising my paw to volunteer for a lifetime.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 8, 2024, 9:53 pm

Story
Meet Raymond! Raymond is a happy, sweet shadow dog. He loves to be right with his people and often lays right by his foster moms feet while she works. Raymond thinks kids are extra fun, especially because they are often the holders of treats and is sure to check on them frequently when playing outside. Ray is good with other dogs after a slow introduction period. He does best with non-dominate dogs who let this little man think he's in charge. Raymond is currently 27 pounds but is still underweight. He is not very big in size and easily picked up. If this 2 year old mix breed (maybe cocker-poodle) is the right fit for your family, apply today! ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Review our adoption contract and application. 2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling. 3. Complete adoption application and submit following appropriate link below: Dog/Puppy: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HRMD/Dog Cat/kitten: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HRMD/Cat It takes us about 1-3 days to process applications. Story
If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog. Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name Daisy, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The CSAC transporter says that I am a happy girl who is outgoing and a complete wigglebutt. There were children on the farm that played with me so I like children. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. My name is Miracle, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am scared because I have not been around a lot of people or lived in a home as a pet.
