Story
Betsy wants to be your bestie! Betsy is a 5'ish-year-old, 20-pound spaniel-terrier mix.  She is a happy-go-lucky girl.  Betsy is great with other dogs (including the puppy in her foster home) and loves to play.  She is doing fine with the cat, too.  Betsy has nice leash manners, rides quietly in the car and is house trained.  She loves belly rubs and scratches when Foster Dad comes home from work. Betsy isn't a condo kind of girl and would love a securely fenced yard in her forever home. She is located in Fairfax, VA and ready to be your new BFF.  Please email us at adoptme@cockerspanielrescue.com to learn more.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 30, 2025, 4:14 pm

Story
My name is Heath, and I'm one of nine "Flower Power Pups."  We're all pretty young. and I'm 2'ish years old and 21 pounds.  I lived a life as a breeder dog before coming to this wonderful rescue, so I've never walked on a leash, lived in a home or ridden in the car.  But, I can't wait to do all those things, and I'm looking for a foster or adopt home now.  I'm a really sweet, timid boy.  I'm working on my house training and leash manners while at the vet's office. They are all so nice to me.  New noises and sounds are pretty new to me, so I'm looking for the quieter life, as I'm not a city boy. If you can foster or adopt me, please send an email to fosters@cockerspanielrescue.com.  I'm located in Alexandria, VA.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 29, 2025, 12:48 pm

Story
If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog. Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   CSAC is adopting Teddy and Smokey as a bonded pair. MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Teddy. I were rescued from a hoarding situation, and my rescuer asked CSAC to help find me a new home. I am friendly, but right now I am a bit nervous since I am not sure what is happening to me right now. I lived with a hoarder with a lot of other animals. My pictures show that I was not well cared for. I feel better now that I was groomed. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I tested positive for Lyme and Anaplasmosis disease, but I am taking medication for that. I do have a grade 3 of 6 heart murmur, but everything else is ok. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen.
