Story
Riker is a sensitive boy who was used to having a simple and calm life style. In his previous home he lived with an elderly couple and was so happy to have someone with him most of the day and loved being spoiled! Riker is well behaved and can be quite the gentleman. Riker is potty trained and will whine at the door when he needs to go outside. Owner stated that he wasn`t sure if Riker was crate trained because he never had to be crated in their home. When alone he was free to roam the home and would usually help himself to the sofa because he was typically not allowed on the furniture. Riker knows the cues ` sit `, `stay`, `down` and `drop` and walks well on a leash. Though Riker is very sweet and loves his people, he can be picking with what kind of attention he likes! Riker does not appreciate having his tail, rear end or belly being messed with. Fast movement tend to make Riker nervous. He will need time to adapt to his new home and please keep in mind that it may take him a moment to become comfortable with you! Riker does not liked being pulled on by children and and may growl when uncomfortable. Riker will be happiest in a home with no small children. we know this can be a lot to ask, but we want to be sure to set Riker up for success! It is unknown if Riker has lived with small critters like cats, but he owners mentioned that he does well with other dogs. We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed! Riker is a particular guy who is looking for a very special home. If you feel your home would be a good fit for Riker we would love for you to come by and meet him!
