Story
To learn more about Buddy, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Who's your Buddy??? Buddy is of course! Buddy is SO down to hang! He is a people’s dog and loves a good pet and a snuggle. He would try and crawl up into your lap if you let him! He’s kind, gentle, and just so eager to find his forever home. Buddy is a bit timid, and would do well with another dog in the house to help him build his confidence. He's very friendly to other dogs when on walks, so he could make a great pal for your resident dog. Buddy thinks loud noises are a little scary, and would be open to you helping him be a little less scared. He’s not quite sure what to think of cars or sirens, so until then, he’d prefer a quiet suburban life with lots of room to play and explore. Buddy is very sweet and he just wants to be your buddy too.

She is a young and sweet South Carolina girl on the hunt for her forever home. She can be a little shy with people, but warms up quickly and once she does, you'll have a true friend in Apple. Apple can be a bit dog selective and likely would do best in a home where she is the only dog. Despite her initial shyness, Apple has a lot of unconditional love and loyalty to give. She's just waiting for that special someone who will be hers forever. Could that person be you? Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Name: Citra Sex: Female Estimated Age: 6 years old Best Guess for Breed: Border Collie Mix Weight: 59lbs Lives With: Citra is currently living with two adults in an apartment environment. Housetrained? Citra is housebroken and crate trained. She also knows all of her basic commands. About Citra: Citra is an adorable 4 year old border collie mix who is incredibly smart and loves to learn new tricks. Fun facts: she knows over 15 commands and is working on several more, she’s a mozzarella cheese aficionado and butt scratches are her favorite! She also loves sunbathing - she can go for hours without moving from a sunny spot! Please read more about her below! CITRA’S PERFECT MATCH: PERFECT FAMILY: A home with 1-2 adults is ideal. Citra needs crate time when guests come over, but can warm up with a slow introduction and some treats. Because she is shy, we are recommending she not go to a home with small children. She can be quite scared of other dogs and cats, and would do best as the only dog in the home. However, she has been working her hardest with us to overcome her fears, and has shown lots of progress recently! PERFECT HOME: One with a fenced in yard away from the bustling city. EXERCISE NEEDS: Citra enjoys long walks on the leash and rolling in the grass belly side up at the park. She could play fetch and tug all day long with her humans! However, she is also very content to lounge around the house. She is such a playful pup and would love to learn new games and activities! She loves untangling a towel to get to her food, and that tires her out just as much as a walk! She should not be taken to dog parks. BEHAVIOR IN HOME: Citra is a sweetheart. She loves to play with her humans and then take naps on the couch or in her crate. She is slowly but surely learning how to interact with new humans, but it takes a lot of treats and patience to gain her trust. Once she gets comfortable, she would love nothing more but to snuggle up with you all night long. She is quiet and comfortable in her crate, knows the “place” command, and does not have accidents in the home. CRATE: Citra loves her crate, she will sleep and relax there during the day and while her humans are not at home. She also sleeps in there all night long! Color Match: ORANGE - Goofball (Socially Motivated) Dog Personality — Will work for what they want, but are not as committed to pursuing their own agenda; these are considered moderate-persistence dogs. Adopter Personality — Interested in doing some training and can provide regular interaction and activity. The fee to adopt Citra is $475. That covers the cost of all her vaccines, the collar she’s wearing, her transport to DC and her care in her foster home. She’s up to date on all age appropriate vaccines and already spayed. Citra has been seen by a shelter vet and we are not aware of any health issues. If you think that Citra might be your perfect match, apply today!February 28, 2025, 10:22 pm

Story
Meet Kansas, a beautiful Rough Collie in search of her true forever home. Originally purchased from a breeder, Kansas was rehomed when her first family's older dog struggled to accept her as a puppy. She then found a loving home, but unfortunately, her family is moving and unable to take her along. Wanting the best for Kansas, they reached out to our rescue for help. Now in foster care, Kansas is living with her two foster parents and their two dogs, with regular visits from the grandkids. She’s proven to be incredibly friendly, does well meeting new people and dogs, and was just cat-tested—showing no interest even when the cat hissed and arched its back. We believe she could co-exist with a cat and would thrive with a young, playful dog companion. Kansas is an active, intelligent pup who needs an equally active family. She is not a city or condo dog—she will do best in a home with space to run and play. She would do best in a home with a yard and a playmate to match her energy.  We checked in with her foster mom, Cindy, for a 3-week update: "Kansas has settled in so nicely. It took her about two or three weeks to truly feel at home. The first few days, she paced around the house, unsure of her new surroundings. She was friendly but not fully engaged. Now, she follows me around, loves to lay by my feet, and enjoys belly rubs and ear scratches. She’s also discovered the joy of playing with her toys! Her new family just needs to be patient and give her time to build trust—once she does, she’s an amazing companion. She needs an active family—someone who will take her walking or hiking daily. She’s fantastic in the car, loves outdoor adventures, and could easily walk for miles. She meets new people and dogs beautifully and wants to play with everyone she meets. I think having another young, playful dog in the home would be ideal for her. I’ve been setting up playdates with our neighbor’s young dog at least once, sometimes twice a day, and Kansas lights up with joy every time. During the day, she’s energetic, but she does wind down at night. She’s fully housetrained, has no destructive tendencies, and sleeps freely with the other dogs. Kansas is truly a wonderful dog who just needs the right home to thrive!" ******* If you’re looking for an adventurous, loving companion, Kansas could be the perfect match! Apply today!   BREED ESTIMATE: Rough Collie GENDER: Female APPROXIMATE WEIGHT:  48 lbs  APPROXIMATE AGE: ~ 1.5 years old COAT TYPE: Long coat requires regular grooming ADOPTION FEE: $425 OTHER INFO: utd on shots/spayed/microchipped LOCATION: Fort Mill, SC   FOR MORE INFO OR TO ADOPT: Please go to https://adopt.worthydog.org and complete the application. Story
Jack is a 1 year old Australian Cattle Labrador mix. He’s a sweet boy who love to receive cuddles. Soft plushie toys are his favorite in keeping calm and he enjoys a good rubber ball or rope toy to throw around by himself. He loves to run and we are looking to rehome with someone who can give him that. He’s smart and would benefit from a bit of training. He can get a little territorial so he would do best as an only pet. We love him so much but realize he would do better in home with a yard versus an apartment. He also started exhibiting littermate syndrome towards one his brothers and we are trying to prevent it from escalating further. He’s very sweet and loving.

Story
This precious girl came from one of the worst hoarding situations that we have ever dealt with. there were over 100 dogs on the property, none of them spayed or neutered. Finally, the authorities went in and they managed to get ALL of the dogs out of there. Filthy dirty situation, sick puppies, you name it. We choose to take Blossom home to our rescue because her eyes were begging us for love and attention. She was very pregnant and two weeks after arriving, she gave birth to 7 heathy puppies! Every single puppy was different, every singe puppy had a different daddy! We think that Blossom had never been paid any attention to because she was so shy. Once we weaned her babies we took her out of the nursery and into the house where she just blossomed! That's how she got her name! Her puppies have long since been adopted and now it's her turn. We actually did a DNA on her and it came back with 4 different breeds, which we kind of figured from the beginning. Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull, Boxer. Yes, she is truly a "Mutt!: She is extremely smart and will do anything for a treat. I want her to have a nice fenced yard with lots of room to run. Cattle dogs are working dogs and they need lots of exercise! She is spayed, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and house broken, truly a gem! Ready for immediate transport. ADOPTION FEE $400 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION!

Story
This handsome red heeler mix puppy is called Ernie and he and his brother Bert and their mom were found in a barn where they had been raised by their stray mother. Their mother was barely hanging on to life. The happy ending to her story is she is living with a wonderful family now and is loved and Ernie is looking for a wonderful family too raise him, love him, and bring his own special joy to. Ernie is a really delightful and well adjusted 6-month-old puppy that weighs 26 lb. He is a friendly little guy that enjoys meeting people and loves to chase a ball and bring it back to you. His innocence and love for life is contagious. He craves being with people that like him and speak kind words to him. He will crawl in your lap and be your best little buddy. His foster mom who raised he and his brother Bert says that he has the best temperament and personality. Recently this little guy went to a yoga class at the YMCA and had so much fun. It was a totally new and unique environment and he handled it with great poise and embraced all of the Zen vibes going on. Ernie is housebroken, crate trained, loves being around other cats and dogs alike and adores children. There isn't a living creature on this earth that he doesn't like. He is learning quite well,  how to walk on a leash and he rides in a car like a pro. He would be a great dog to take for hikes, long walks, outdoor events and adventures, and of course he would be a hit at any family reunions. Ernie is ready to call a family and their home his very own. If you are interested in making Ernie your perfect little sidekick in life, Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 28, 2025, 12:57 pm
