Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Her previous owner had to go into a nursing home, so we don't have a lot of information on her. She was more than likely an outside dog, as she was tied up on the property when family came to get her. She is super friendly and loves attention. She is an older dog, probably 8-9 years old. Since being at the prison in the Puppies on Parole Program for training, it's been noticed that she had some incontinence issues. But she is on a medication that has eliminated that problem. She would thrive in a home where she has a lot of attention and love, maybe being the only dog or with another low-key buddy. She goes out in a play group with other dogs and does fine; she just doesn't show a lot of interest in interacting. And, like most older dogs, she doesn't want to have her space invaded by high energy dogs. Dixie is great on a leash, knows commands, and keeps her kennel clean. Primary Color: Red Secondary Color: White Weight: 51.4 Age: 9yrs 8mths 0wks

Story
Jovi was surrendered to the shelter when her owner moved and couldn't take her with her. She has always been an outside dog, so she has not been housetrained. However, she keeps her kennel clean. She is good with other dogs and tolerates cats well. She does resource guard her food, so she would need to be the only dog in the home, or fed separately. Also, children should not be left around her when she is eating. She has been around kids and did well with them, as long as there is no food involved. She's playful, likes chewy toys and belly rubs. Jovi walks great on a leash and knows some commands. Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 41.4 Age: 5yrs 4mths 2wks

Story
Michael was brought to the shelter by animal control after they fished him out of The Lake. He was being chased by some geese and didn't like that at all. While he had a harness on and we were sure someone would come looking for him, no one did. He is friendly with people and other dogs and is good walking on a leash. Michael is housetrained and a super sweet guy! We don't know how he is with cats. He's an energetic dog and would do best in a home that can give him an outlet for this energy. If you think you're ready to give Michael a chance, you can do an application online at daslakeoftheozarks.com Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 53 Age: 2yrs 2mths 4wks
