Story
Meet Peanut!Peanut is a sweet and affectionate, yet timid corgi mix, who is still learning to feel safe in the world. Once she warms up, and has established trust, she forms strong bonds with her humans quickly. She has a bit of separation anxiety, so she'll need a family that can be patient and help her feel secure when they are not around. Her new family should continue working on building her confidence and managing her separation anxiety with patience and consistency. She likely spent most of her life outdoors, so living in a home may come with a period of adjustment. She is house-trained, but leash training is a new experience for her. So far, she is getting the hang of it really fast! She would thrive in a calm, quiet home with older children who understand how to be gentle and respectful with a small dog, and owners who are willing to give her the patience and time she needs to adjust. This little lady grew up along side other dogs and cats, and would prefer calm and polite pals who give her the space she needs to form new friendships. If you feel like Peanut is the right match for you, and you're ready to support her as she develops confidence and trust for the world, follow the link below and fill out our adoption questionnaire. Please note, due to the high volume of applications we receive, only the first suitable applications will be contacted. Dog meets are by appointment only. https://spca.bc.ca/adoption Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 11.1 Age: 2yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
Hello, humans!  My name's Benny/Bennee aka Benny Boy and I'm SO excited to have caught your eye!  I'm an energetic, adorable 2 year old corgi mix with special needs.  I feel so lucky to have a second lease on life here in Canada-- now I just need the right person/family to scoop me up and bring me to my forever home.  I was born in a small village in the Middle East and when I was one month old, a kind human found me whimpering under a tree all alone.  The whereabouts of my mother and littermates were unkown, so they kindly brought me to a shelter where I stayed for 1.5 years with other dogs in a small room and yard.  Even though the conditions weren't the greatest at the crowded shelter, it provided me the opportunity to come to B.C. in December 2023.  Since my arrival, I've stayed with two awesome foster families who have been attentive to my incontinence problems; providing me with belly bands and diapers to wear while indoors.  A lot of the times I alert my handlers about my need to eliminate by going to the door, but sometimes I can't control it. The reason for my incontinence has not been diagnosed, but are speculated to be neurologically related. I am a very friendly and sociable boy who gets along very well with other dogs. In fact playing with other dogs is one of my favourite things to do so I would love a home where I will have a playful canine companion or where I will get contact with other dogs at dog parks. I can be a bit timid when meeting new humans, particularly men, but it doesn't take me long before I am seeking their affection. I am eager to please, and very food motivated so training me is a breeze. Being a very gentle soul who doesn't have any resource guarding, I am also great with kids.  Sometimes my joy for life makes me get the "zoomies" and I race around happily in large circles,  always staying close to my human. Leaving me home alone for a few hours is no problem as I have no separation anxiety.  A home with a fenced yard is ideal for me so I can run, explore, and eliminate without my diaper/belly band.  I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adoption fee is by donation.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess. Loved at Last Dog Rescue is not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##1675200##

Story
Due to the present confrontational Middle East environment where this dog resides, airlines are minimally operating. He/She may therefore be delayed in arriving to Canada. He/She will eventually be sent, but we have no specified timeframe at this moment. If you are willing to wait, we and this dog appreciate your patience Hiya, hiya, hiya, I'm MOKAH (Milka) and here is a bit about who I am:Breed: Corgi/Labrador Retriever mixAge: 9 monthsGender: femaleWeight: 33 lbsHeight: 13 inchesHighlights: playful, quick learner, cuddle bug, loving Sweet & creamy, like my name implies, you'll love the warmth of my personality. I am an adorable pup with mocha coloring. My warm, muted brown puppy eyes will make you feel zen.Found on the street in the Middle East, I was in need of some proper care and nutrition. I was terrified and starving! It was clear that I had once belonged to a family, because I was so well-behaved. The shelter wasn't the right place for me, so I've been placed in a caring foster home until I could find my forever family in CanadaBeing a playful puppy, I love being around people and other dogs and cats. My foster family has 6 dogs and 4 cats and I love playing with them. My favorite pastimes are being adored and cuddling with my human. It will be nice to have activities to do. It would be a dream come true if I have a furry brother or sister to play with to release my puppy energy. You'll be happy to know too, I am not a barker. Health notes:I have been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##2062840##

Story
# 🐾 Hi, I'm Charles! 🐾 Hello future family! My name is Charles, and I'm a 7-month-old Corgi mix with a heart as big as my smile and a beautiful brown coat. I'm a fun-sized buddy at 10 kg, perfect for all kinds of adventures and cuddles. ## My Rescue Story 🏠 I was rescued from a shelter just in time, and now I'm looking for a forever home where I can spread my love and joy. ## A Little About Me 🌟 I'm the definition of a love bug. I adore people, whether we're old friends or just meeting for the first time. I'm all about the belly rubs and cuddles. I'm also a social pup who loves to make new doggy friends and play, but I'm also cool with just hanging out. ## My Personality 🐶 I'm a gentle soul who prefers peace over confrontation. I'm curious about cats but more interested in my human companions. I love being outdoors and exploring, but I'm happiest when I can relax quietly by your side after a day of fun. ## My Manners 🍽️ I'm not one to guard my food – I'm all about sharing the love. I'm usually quiet, hardly ever barking, and I'm well-trained to do my business outside. ## My Dream Home 🏡 I'm looking for a family that loves to play and cuddle as much as I do. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate, and playful furry friend, I'm the one for you! **Puppy kisses and wagging tails,** Charles 🐕🤎 For more vidoes: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3JwOCebKf-jrNF7zwSi3QNXu

Story
Meet Kitshy! Kitsch was rescued when her time ran out at city shelter. Thankfully a rescuer was able to get her out and to the vet for a full check up. she has since gotten a clean bill of health and is ready to find her forever home. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog. she is patiently waiting! -dog: a little bit nervous, in social training -cat: tend to chase cats, recommend for home without other animal -kids: good -crate: good -housebroken: good -leash: good -barker: no -special comments: Kitshy loves playing ball with people. she was treated for the 2nd stage of hearworm and finished the treatment now and it would be great to recheck the heartworm kit test after 1 year for her health. She can be nervous or a little bit aggressive to small dogs or cats so please be cautious when meeting them. She’ve been in social training now when walking out with her foster.
