Meet our precious Butterscotch. She is a Riverside Shelter survivor who was in danger of euthanasia due to having a seizure disorder. Butterscotch is a 1 year old Papillion/Corgi Mix and weighs about 12 lbs. She’s a sweet girl with a beautiful smile and a beautiful spirit. She’s resilient and strong. She currently lives in a foster home with other dogs and where someone is home 24/7. We are currently trying a new treatment for her seizures and are still trying to find the best approach to control them. Butterscotch has both grand mal seizures (seldomly) and focal seizures more frequently. Her forever family will need to be committed to her medicine regimen and also having patience with navigating her challenges. She will do best in a home with experienced dog owners who are patient and will also have the dedication to navigate through her challenges with her. She loves chew toys, she's very treat motivated, and she’s dog and cat friendly. She’s a happy girl with a beautiful spirit. She will bring her new family lots of love and joy. We are excited to help her find her new forever family. Her name is now Daisy She does have both eyes, the shelter thought she was missing one. But her other eye has cataracts we would like to save her eye if it can be saved. She's had her first bath, been to the vet, and loves to spend time in the yard. She has an ear infection and is on antibiotics. She will be going back to the vet for a follow-up. She is older than we were told and is a bit chunky. She's a great dog. Say hello to Riggs! Riggs is a 10 year old purebred corgi. Riggs is an independent dog that prefers playing fetch than being pet or cuddled. He is more of a lone wolf because he prefers to be on his own than with other animals. While he is able to coexist with other dogs and cats he will keep his distance from them. We are broken hearted that we have to re-home Riggs. Unfortunately, he does not do well with young children. Riggs has been wonderful about keeping his distance and not getting into the space of our new baby, but unfortunately now that the baby is mobile, there is no safe way to ensure the baby will not enter Riggs' space and Riggs has been know to nip out of fear. He does have some issues with resource guarding which is common with his breed. Riggs would really do well in a quiet home with a male or a couple and anyone that is high energy and good at keeping structure for Riggs. He currently lives with 3 cats! Salsa is a precious 4 year old, female corgi mix who is about 15 lbs. Our partner in South Korea found her living in dangerous conditions, chained up with her father and siblings. For months we've been begging their "owner" to surrender them, visiting daily to ensure they have food & water. Finally he agreed! Salsa is currently heartworm positive getting his treatment. We anticipate her being healthy enough to board her freedom flight sometime in the end of October! We need a committed foster or adopter to get Salsa on her freedom flight! Will she land with you?
