We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see a sweet young dog that needs our help. Miso is one of these dogs that deserves to have a wonderful home filled with pure love and nurturing due to his excellent temperament and all the love he'll bring to a family, . Miso is the kind of dog that once comfortable in his environment snuggles in, loves you up and then puts his head on your shoulder breathing his warm puppy breath. He's so sweet (while being initially a bit shy) and so very loving and irresistible that you can't help falling head over heels in love. Miso is a cute as can be, 19 lb Corgi / American Eskimo mix that is nothing but pure love. This pup is SO sweet and once acclimated to his new life, will make a wonderful addition to a dog-crazy family. Miso is a perfect size to be able to accompany his family just about everywhere a smaller dog is welcome. He will fit right into virtually every situation due to his great temperament and love of life. Our dream for this very loving pup is a forever Colorado home with a family that cherishes him for life. As Miso becomes comfortable in his forever home, he will blossom and become a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please. The happier his family is with his behavior, the more Miso will shine with his accomplishments. Farfel's would like to see our wonderful Corgi / American Eskimo in a home that includes him in family time and activities (some lap or couch-time with belly rubs would be absolutely perfect!) as well as taking that extra step to participate in positive reinforcement / force free virtual or in-person obedience classes. These classes successfully teach a smart and cooperative dog like Miso the skills to accompany his family out into the world with excellent behavior. Farfel's Rescue is happy to provide a list of approved virtual and in-person force-free trainers in your area. Miso will be a loving and devoted companion for active retirees who have the time and desire to be best friends with a silly, fun-loving and irresistible dog. Miso would also love to have another gentle and fun doggie companion to play with but it's not mandatory if his people are nurturing and involved. This little guy would also do well with a younger family that works from a home-based office. He would bask in the attention and cuddles periodically throughout the day that this life-style brings. Miso's gorgeous fluffy coat is currently shelter-sad. He will require a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming (approximately every 8 - 10 weeks), excellent 5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement. This long term protocol will promote great health as well as a cottony-soft coat that is soft as cotton and matte-free. Miso has been fully vetted, neutered and is up to date on his vaccinations. These protocols support Farfel's commitment to adopting out only healthy dogs that won't contribute to the canine overpopulation crisis. Miso will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Saturday 8/14/2024. ** If you are interested in adopting Malibu, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Malibu found herself in a small high kill shelter in New Mexico, where no dog should be. She was brought in as a stray with 5 other littermates. Farfel's was reached out to (we love a short legged dog!) to help, and we couldn't resist! Malibu is believed to be a Corgi / American Eskimo mix. She is just a young girl still, at only 5 months old. She is currently just 14 lbs, (and the smallest of her siblings) and believed to be around 20-25 lbs full grown. Malibu has the perfect temperament to accompany her family just about everywhere a dog is welcome. She will fit right into virtually every situation due to her very sweet personality. As Malibu becomes comfortable in her forever home, she'll blossom and show her personality more and more. It takes rescue dogs a few days typically to feel comfortable in a new home, given all that they have been through. Farfel's Rescue feels very strongly that every dog deserves the opportunity for formal, positive reinforcement/force-free training. We therefore aren't willing to adopt out to a home that doesn't choose to offer this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement/force-free virtual and in-person trainers in your area. Malibu is up to date on her vetting/vaccinations and spayed, to be in line with our commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. Story

Ross (aka Rocket, fka Kiwi) is an approx 27# Corgi mix with beautiful German Shepherd markings and amazingly cute short stumpers. He’s approx 2 y/o, has the softest fur and is a snuggle bug to his people with a strong herding breed personality. He always does his business outside, using the doggie door like a champ. He really loves walks, and learning to loose leash walk. Ross has displayed some people guarding and herding behaviors in his home so he needs an experienced owner who knows how to direct these behaviors. He has been very quick to learn the sit cue and has been learning other fun things. He and his former foster brother were fast buddies (it only took 4 days for them to start playing and chasing each other around the house) but he hasn’t really liked any unfamiliar dogs since then. Ross needs a family preferably working from home or retired who will include him in their daily activities and hopefully give him a job. He's not good with kids and not cat tested but based on his temperament, cats probably aren’t a good fit. He likes to smack talk and will be a perfect security alarm for your home. He requires a secure fenced in yard as he is not a good fit for an apartment situation. Ross loves to sleep in the big bed with his humans and will go occasionally to his crate during the day for a chill out. He's a lover and will shower you with kisses. Rebel doesn't live up to his name at all! He is an approximately 3 year-old, 40-lb Corgi/Heeler blend. He's dog-friendly and respectful kid-friendly (10+), hates his vegetables, and tolerates his crate. When Rebel wants to be pet, he'll wiggle his backside in your direction. On leashed walks, his first instinct is to GO!, but once he settles into the walk, he's pretty good with some pulling to get to the best smells. Rebel has always lived with another dog and would do best with another dog his size to play with. He knows "sit" and he sleeps through the night in his crate. Rebel is house-trained but as with many dogs in unfamiliar situations, he had some marking accidents when he first arrived to his foster home. He's shown some interest in chew toys but hasn't quite learned to spend much time on them. Only apply for Rebel if you are prepared for normal Corgi things like lots of shedding and occasional smack talk. Rebel has not been tested with cats. While he is kid-friendly, the kid needs to be big enough to handle a forty-pound dog who wants to show his love with his whole body. Rebel doesn't necessarily need a fenced yard if his humans are home for frequent leashed walks and outdoor potty time but an apartment situation with shared walls are NOT a good fit since he does like to bark. Eden is an approx 18 mos old 24# petite Corgi. She was surrendered by her family who was no longer able to take care of her. Eden is a busy and active little girl who loves people. She’d do very well with an active canine playmate who doesn’t mind the occasional nip or muzzle punch to initiate more play and enjoys being chased. We think Eden spent a good portion of her time outdoors previously so is learning to be an inside dog. She’s had some potty accidents indoors but for the most part goes outside to do her business when accompanied by her human. She’ll need consistent support and positive reinforcement to continue her potty training and someone home to go in and out with her during the day. She has been sleeping in her crate with some protest but her new person will need to make sure that she potties before bed or you’ll be getting a wake up call about 2-3 AM . She thinks napping and snuggling in the big bed with her human is pretty amazing. She isn’t familiar with flights of stairs or getting on furniture and doesn’t know many cues but does know her name and has a good recall. Eden gets along with most dogs with slower introductions (she can be spicy with unfamiliar dogs who don’t respect her space) but a patient, higher energy pup would be an ideal companion. We have not cat or kid tested her but recommend no cats as she is very herdy and kids 8+. Eden requires a herding breed experienced owner and a fenced in yard; she is not a good fit for an apartment situation. She would appreciate daily walks and/or runs and she is good on the leash. She would likely get kicked out of a dog park for trying to be the fun police. Eden needs an active home with humans who will include her in their daily activities and teach her fun things. She would love to learn a dog sport and/or have a job. Eden is spayed, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-.
