Story
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - CARLA BREED - Mixed - long and low like a corgi SIZE - About 20 pounds AGE - 2-3 years GENDER - Female MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Carla is a happy girl who loves people - all people. That said, she does not like other pets of any kind, so she needs to be an only pet. Carla came to us recently from a central NC shelter. We know nothing of her history. This gal loves to run and play, loves to play with toys and is very "nosey". She hunts for treasures on walks but is quick to find your lap at quiet times. Carla loves being right beside her person and is a joy to be around. Fully grown at just 20 pounds, she is a perfect size for most homes! She's in good health, spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home for Carla with an active adopter who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with this her, A home without other pets and with a fenced, secure yard will give her room to run and play securely. She is not well suited to small children who could be upset by her enthusiasm, but will fit nicely into many other families. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Carla and match our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet her at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting Carla and determining that she matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. More information on our website at www.carerva.com.
