Story
How can you turn your back on a phone call from someone who says their friend had seven puppies born to their Corgi and she is moving in 2 days and will not take the puppies with her. Her solution was the threat to dump them in the woods and leave them or to destroy them in some hideous way. When you receive a call like that you can't turn your back because people mean it unfortunately. Desperation is a very ugly thing and people are doing some very ugly things to the animals. If you can help Foster summer or one of these seven puppies that we have snatched from her after living in that small pin their entire 12 weeks of life, please write to us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com or text at 615 661 5333.  We need Fosters for them right now. They are seven and eight pounds each and there are two girls and five boys. We are in need of fosters by the end of the week, Thursday if possible August 8th. We have a short-term person holding them but it is only short-term. Thank you for considering helping. We have had them to the vet and they are relatively happy and healthy and we are seeking Foster homes now as well as forever homes. They will not be any larger than 20 lbs.  most likely when fully grown.  We put the bill for vetting and their care. Allow yourself to have a little munchkin puppy fun with these Corgi mixes. Act now pleaseAugust 19, 2024, 8:06 am

Monty is a full fledged Corgi mix Cutie Pie Puppy!  A boy that will make your life so much happier when you see his little face and wiggly body greet you ever day. This boy is 13 weeks old and was born to a pure bred Corgi momma.  He  was raised in an outside kennel and pen with his siblings and the lady was moving and threatened to leave this litter in the woods where no one would even see them.  We could not stand still for that. He is the best little boy that will not be even 25 pounds when fully grown.  He is happy and bouncy and ready to make your life a delight.  If you are interested in adopting this little guy then please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  7 poundsAugust 19, 2024, 8:06 am

Story
Any Corgi lovers looking to adopt a sweet 4 year old? Chevy, a 4 yr old Corgi is looking for a place to call home. He’s a covid pup which translates to his socialization and exposure were very limited. He was bought from a breeder by an older gentleman who progressed in physical limitations and Chevy ended up spending most of his days in his crate without his basic needs being met; his world was small, filled mostly with shadows and silence. Despite the isolation, he’s a gentle soul who craves human connection, eagerly seeking pets and affection from strangers. With proper introduction, he’s friendly and playful with other dogs that he meets in a home setting or off leash, but leash reactivity is something he's working on. He will alert at noises or when the other dogs in the home get worked up, but he’s generally quiet. Chevy, understandably, needs house training because of the length of time he previously spent in a crate. He can be an anxious trickler/peer, especially if no one is there, or if he’s in a crate and gets anxious over noises, but generally clean in the home if there are people around. He’s truly a great boy who’s looking for a calm environment, a patient family to show him the ropes, love on him, properly care for him and teach him how to dog; he’ll blossom into a wonderful companion. Fill out our non-binding application if you're interested: https://bit.ly/4d7XoKd

Emma is a very loving dog. She would be a great companion to an individual, couple, or family. She can be shy at first. She is a favorite here at the ranch. She loves to go on walks and roll over on her back for belly rubs. She listens to commands. She gets along with other dogs. Her best friend is Cassidy. She is ideal for either apartment or house living. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Emma can be transported anywhere in the US and Canada. She would be a great addiition to anyone's home. ##1501947##

Story
Meet Juliet (I love warm laps, cuddles and other dogs) PLEASE NOTE- AN APPLICATION FROM THE WEBSITE ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG IS REQUIRED prior to any meet and greet. Calling, emailing and using the “contact us” link is not useful and will delay your consideration in the adoption of the dog. Petfinder inquires are not sent to us. Meet Juliet, she looks like a bigger dog but she is truly small, only 15 pounds. Juliet is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet as well as excellent with other dogs of all sizes. Loves her zoomies in the fenced in yard and cuddle time. Playtime and cuddles-it is what she is about. What else you need to know about Juliet-we don't know much about her history but she initially may be quite fearful. it may take her a few days to feel really comfortable in a new home. Thankfully she is food motivated, that helps tremendously. Not aggressive at all, but may stay out of reach so she needs a family (no young kids please) that will be patient, happy to discuss that more, it is just about using common sense. (she has been with us since November however so we do know her well, she is doing so great in the foster home and is very loved) She will feel comfortable and safer so much quicker with at least one dog in the home. The perfect playmate for your dog.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqY7aHEHp1k https://www.youtube.com/shorts/lpCDKwW0sjg PLEASE READ-many rescue dogs are confused and scared when first adopted, they are in a brand new situation, the people are new, the home and yard are new, everything is new and terrifying. It is so important to check collars and harnesses for correct fit and hang on carefully to your brand new dog-even within a fenced yard until they are feeling more comfortable, coming over to you for scratches, etc. APPLY AT ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG (click on the word "Adopt" at top of page to find the dropdown menu with application) The adoption fee is $425, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including age appropriate vaccinations, worming, flea/tick preventative and spay/neuter. All of our dogs will be microchipped. Because our dogs are in foster homes, applications are required prior to setting up any appointments. Calling or emailing may delay your consideration. Find our application on our website, almosthomedogs.org, then click on "Adopt" tab at top We are a non profit no kill 501 (c)3 rescue. Please understand that we do our best to describe our dogs but often we rescue them with virtually no information about them and often our best educated guess can be challenging. Currently check, cash or venmo is preferred payment.-

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Marcel! Marcel is about 1 year old and weighs 15 pounds. We think he looks like a Corgi/Chihuahua Mix (just a guess). Marcel is a fun and playful boy who is great with other dogs, but we do not know about cats and cannot cat test him. Marcel is super sweet and loves to cuddle once he has had a walk and some play time. Marcel is house trained and does not need to be crated. Marcel would do best in a home where someone is around a good portion of the day as she currently has this with her foster mom. Marcel is not in a foster home with children, but we think he would be fine with respectful children 5 years and up. Marcel is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Canine and Kitties Rescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**
