Story
I’m looking to rehome my sweet 3-year-old dachshund. She is potty-pad trained indoors, microchipped, and great with both cats and larger dogs. However, with my busy work schedule, I just don’t have the time and energy she deserves. She’s incredibly loving and enjoys cuddling—almost like a cat, she loves curling up on your lap, and when she’s feeling extra cuddly, she’ll snuggle into your neck like a baby. She’s also a fan of walks and loves playing fetch with her favorite toys. Like many dachshunds, she has a sensitive stomach, so she eats two meals split into three, with a small lunch midday. She'll come with her crate, two beds, a rug, a ton of toys, leash/collar, carrier, two months worth of treats, two months of dog food and dental powder for her teeth. She would thrive in a home that can devote a lot of attention to her and give her plenty of adventures. If you’re looking for a cuddly, sweet dog who will shower you with love, please reach out!

Story
Please read entire description Meet Daphne, a sweet and shy Dachshund/Poodle mix with a heart of gold. Weighing in at just 10 pounds, Daphne has the adorable long body and short legs of a Dachshund, paired with a unique wire-haired coat. Unfortunately, Daphne’s early life wasn’t the easiest. She was living in a home where she didn’t receive the care she deserved, and after her owner passed away, she was left at a high-kill shelter. At the shelter, Daphne was so frightened and shut down that they considered her unadoptable. Thankfully, rescues stepped in, and Daphne is now in foster care. In her foster home, Daphne has made an incredible transformation! She has blossomed into a loving companion, becoming her foster mom's little shadow and cuddling up whenever she gets the chance. While she hasn’t quite mastered fetch yet, Daphne loves to chase after a ball and enjoys a calm, quiet environment. Daphne would thrive with a family who is home often and can give her the love and attention she craves. A fenced yard would be ideal, especially at first, as she can be a little skittish in new surroundings. Daphne is quick and slippery through doorways, so be sure to keep a close eye on her when entering or leaving. She is potty trained and knows how to use a pet door. Due to her timid nature and long body, Daphne would do best in a home without small children. She’s not fond of rough handling, but she’s incredibly gentle and affectionate. Daphne does get tear stains, but there are supplements available to help with that. Daphne is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $325. If you’re interested in giving Daphne the loving home she deserves, please visit www.misfitsdogrescue.org for more information. We’ll contact you to schedule a visit! March 7, 2025, 2:53 pm

Story
Sweet baby Tucker, we got him in Louisiana from my cousin whose dog had puppies. He was born June 5, 2024, he is definitely the sweetest boy he absolutely loves cuddles and pets. He does have a couple problems though, the last few months he has been chewing on his feet and we had to have one of his toes amputated. He used to chew on his feet really bad he had an infection but he’s gotten a lot better now, and his feet are healing. He’s a really good boy he’s just very excitable and makes my 3 year old scared (but he’s scared of everything lol). We aren’t charging a rehoming fee because we just really want him to go to nice home where he’s taken care of and someone can be there for him
