Story
Brownie is a very sweet girl who loves human attention. She is good with other dogs, has started wrestling with them, and she does play with toys. She still has some puppy tendencies, but she is smart and is eager to learn new things. She can chew on soft things, like blankets, beds. Can be mouthy at times with hands. She needs work on potty training and basic obedience. Overall, she will make a great companion. Loves to cuddle and be petted. She just needs the training to get her out of the puppy stage. She is located in Greeley

Story
Hi, everyone! Welcome to my profile. I am a gentle soul, soaking up all of the affection I can get, as you can see in my videos. I also love to cuddle right NEXT to you. I came to Big Bones Canine Rescue from Tijuana, Mexico via a transport from California. I was very sick and injured when I was found in Mexico in July 2024, but I was nursed back to health and then recently came to Colorado in January 2025. My foster family gives me lots of love and I am soaking it all up. I am enjoying hanging out with my foster siblings who are all about my size (I am needing a weight check, but am about 13 lbs.). I recently enjoyed my first socialization outing to Lowe's and got to meet a few new people. I am told we will be taking me to the mall to see how I do with more people, kids. My foster family is also going to see how I do with bigger dogs and kitties. Oh, I just discovered toys so that is FUN! Update on the mall and kids: I did really well and actually thoroughly enjoyed checking out the sights and exploring the new place. I enjoyed taking the bribery, I mean hot dogs, from kids as well as their pets.

Sapphire will be shy at first meeting, it takes her a day or two to warm up. She does have a back leg that gives her issues. At this time, the vet thinks it can be managed with supplements and pain meds. She may eventually need a TPLO. She is located in Greeley

Hello! My name is Scrappy . I am a young small dog ready for my forever home. I am sweet and loving with a happy spirit that's contagious. I like to go to parks and play outside. I am also happy cuddling up on the couch and relaxing. I am g ood with dogs, people, kids, and cats. I was hit by a car at some point and the injury was never fixed so I do have a limp when I walks. If you are interested in adopting me, please go to the Ozzie and Friends website https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org        November 27, 2024, 3:44 pm

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Lucy, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Lucy is a sweet, 3-year-old Dachshund mix, weighing in at 15 lbs. She is friendly and sweet, and a tad chonky. Lucy ended up in a small shelter in rural Texas when she was picked up by a samaritan who found her trotting down the sidewalk. Lucy has showed herself to be a very sweet girl at the shelter, and loves people and other dogs. We don't know if Lucy has had any formal training. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young dog whose self-esteem will fly high while she masters her skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Our training requirement is to help every adoption be successful. We'd like to place Lucy in a home where she'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young girl whose self-esteem will fly high while she masters her skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Lucy has been fully vetted, is up to date on her vaccines, and spayed. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** Farfel's Rescue makes huge efforts to place our dogs with families that are excellent matches. We do this through our application found on farfels.com or at the link provided above (never through rescue site apps such as RescueMe, Petfinder or Adoptapet as they don't provide enough information) If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out the Farfel's Rescue adoption application.. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving puppy. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit a Farfel's adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
