This little old lady is Ginny! She is around 8 years old and guessed to be a dachshund/beagle mix, weighing in at 23lbs. She is working on losing weight, as she is quite round. Ginny came to us after being found as a stray and never reclaimed. She's quite vocal and just wants attention and love. She enjoys being with people and going for walks. She has done well being around the other small dogs at the shelter so far. We're hoping to find her a nice home to relax in for her golden years!

Story
Brody is a Dorky, a yorkshire/dachshund mix. He is About 9 or 10 years old. He came to be at our home bc his long time owner was struggling to care for him. Unfortunately, with our schedules and move, we arent able to care for him as he needs. Brody loves his people and wants to spend lots of time with them. He sits with us where ever we are in the house, sleeps with us at night, and would prefer we were sitting at all times so he could snuggle up next to us. He is a fan of routine and likes to walk both morning and evening. He does several very cute tricks on command, barks like a big dog but is harmless once meeting people. He has always lived as an only dog and usually ignores the other dogs at the dog park. We are hoping we can find a home where his love of routine is possible with people who will welcome his joining them on the foot of their lounge chair, or next to them on the couch, after a nice walk around the neighborhood.

Story
Daisy and Donut are 2 yrs old. The perfect age as they are all grown out of the puppy stages. They are both housebroken and just the sweetest lovable dogs. They are current on all vaccinations and preventatives and have been spayed and neutered. Daisy is a little more high energy but not excessive. She is wonderful especially if she has a chewy bone or toy. Not destructive, she just likes something to chew on. Donut is lower energy but still loves to chase a ball and play with his sibling. They both know sit and will shake when asked as well. Leash and kennel trained and will sleep in their kennel 8-9 hours with no problems. They are great dogs and their family does not want to give them up but they have had a coupled unexpected deaths in the family and unforeseen circumstances that make it unfair for these two as far as time and space. Their current family would love for them to go together and the adoption fees can be adjusted accordingly if we can find a spot together for them both. We will consider single applications if we can’t find a home together. Once adopted Daisy and Donut will will travel via private transport (transport cost is $165.00) to a location closest to you. TEXAS ADOPTION ONLY Hi my name is Cookee, and I'm the sweetest treat of a pup that you'll ever meet. People say I remind them of cookies and cream when I give them sweet kisses on the nose or bump up and snuggle with them when they're feeling down. I am a Dachshund-Basset mix and medium sized about 30# full grown. Sitting on people's couches or laps is my favorite pastime as I get to snuggle close to the people I love, which is practically everyone! I LOVE OTHER DOGS TOO!! I definitely want a home with other dogs :) As I am a bit on the older side and lived on the streets until I was saved with my babies in my tummy. I have been living at my foster home and am ready for my forever HOME!! I will need a patient and loving family to give me a good life of exercise- LOL, playtime, treats, love, affection, and belonging. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Thelma quickly bonds with her humans & insists on daily cuddles & pets. Like her sister Louise, Thelma is approximately 12 years old, around 19lbs & a sweet princess. TEXAS ADOPTION ONLY (BONDED PAIR) Oy Chico! Chico is a sweet couch potato, who is bonded with his brother Jefe! They are cute, little senior dachshunds who are hoping to be adopted together! They are a package deal, consider it a 2-for-1 special! Both have good energy and cannot stop wiggling their butts constantly! We are purebred dachshunds, with slightly different colored patches but all dachshund ALL the time! We are your standard dachshund size and have the temperament that would be great as a binge watching buddy, gaming friend or even a professional nappers (seriously we're that good.) Chico does have a seizure disorder that is controlled well with phenobarbital. His seizures were only about 1 a week but no one wants to let it happen so the meds were started and work GREAT!
