Story
Brody is a Dorky, a yorkshire/dachshund mix. He is About 9 or 10 years old. He came to be at our home bc his long time owner was struggling to care for him. Unfortunately, with our schedules and move, we arent able to care for him as he needs. Brody loves his people and wants to spend lots of time with them. He sits with us where ever we are in the house, sleeps with us at night, and would prefer we were sitting at all times so he could snuggle up next to us. He is a fan of routine and likes to walk both morning and evening. He does several very cute tricks on command, barks like a big dog but is harmless once meeting people. He has always lived as an only dog and usually ignores the other dogs at the dog park. We are hoping we can find a home where his love of routine is possible with people who will welcome his joining them on the foot of their lounge chair, or next to them on the couch, after a nice walk around the neighborhood.

This little old lady is Ginny! She is around 8 years old and guessed to be a dachshund/beagle mix, weighing in at 23lbs. She is working on losing weight, as she is quite round. Ginny came to us after being found as a stray and never reclaimed. She's quite vocal and just wants attention and love. She enjoys being with people and going for walks. She has done well being around the other small dogs at the shelter so far. We're hoping to find her a nice home to relax in for her golden years!

TEXAS ADOPTION ONLY Hi my name is Cookee, and I'm the sweetest treat of a pup that you'll ever meet. People say I remind them of cookies and cream when I give them sweet kisses on the nose or bump up and snuggle with them when they're feeling down. I am a Dachshund-Basset mix and medium sized about 30# full grown. Sitting on people's couches or laps is my favorite pastime as I get to snuggle close to the people I love, which is practically everyone! I LOVE OTHER DOGS TOO!! I definitely want a home with other dogs :) As I am a bit on the older side and lived on the streets until I was saved with my babies in my tummy. I have been living at my foster home and am ready for my forever HOME!! I will need a patient and loving family to give me a good life of exercise- LOL, playtime, treats, love, affection, and belonging. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

She is working on getting her girlish figure back. She is a dachshund/terrier mix that gets along well with other dogs & is curious about cats. They are a package deal, consider it a 2-for-1 special! Both have good energy and cannot stop wiggling their butts constantly! We are purebred dachshunds, with slightly different colored patches but all dachshund ALL the time! We are your standard dachshund size and have the temperament that would be great as a binge watching buddy, gaming friend or even a professional nappers (seriously we're that good.) Chico does have a seizure disorder that is controlled well with phenobarbital. His seizures were only about 1 a week but no one wants to let it happen so the meds were started and work GREAT! Local adoption fee is $300 for both of us (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $600 (includes transport to your area)

We are handily named AFTER the Four Brothers movie- Marky Mark, Tyrese , Garrett and Andre are all the most adorable low riders you have ever seen!! We have low long bodies and cute wild faces who beg for love and attention and real homes!! We were very shy at first but have broken OUT of our shells and are playful and happy and bouncing and crazy pups :) We are just babies now so will be likely under 20# full grown, we get along with all dogs and people and even though we had a horrible beginning to life, we are looking for the VERY BEST MIDDLE AND END!!
