OLLIE WILL NOT BE ADOPTED SEPERATELY - HE"S BONDED TO MOMO Momo and OllieFostered in Wake ForestBonded Pair – Will only be adopted together. Introducing the dynamic duo: Momo and Ollie. With these two, you get the perfect mix of goofiness and laid back – it’s like having your very own comedy duo. And with these guys, you truly have the best of both worlds. Ollie – The Social ButterflyOllie is 7 years old, and 16 pounds. He is outgoing, friendly, and the life of the party. His dream job? Probably as a Walmart greeter, because he’s always ready to welcome you with open paws. If there’s a lap available, Ollie’s on it faster than you can say “treat!” He’s the kind of dog who will shower you with love and be your cuddle buddy for life. Momo – The Mysterious GentlemanMomo 8 years old and 24 pounds. He is the cool, independent type. This adorable dude likes to take his time and assess the situation, but once he’s comfortable, he’ll show you his sweet side and wag that adorable tail like it’s his full-time job. Bonus: his underbite is so cute, it could be a meme. He’s got a shifty look about it him, if we were naming him, he would be Capone. But it’s all an act, he’s a love bug. They’re house-trained with a good schedule, crate-trained, and get along well with other dogs. They’d be a great match for a working family with kids over 5. Both dogs are on a diet to find their six pack abs and their new family will need to keep up their hard work with diet and exercise. Their new family will need to drive to the Raleigh area to adopt – no transports. We prefer to adopt to families in NC, VA, SC, eastern TN, DC area, Southern MD, VA, and northern GA. They’re up-to-date on everything (bloodwork, dentals, vaccinations), neutered, and heartworm negative. To get the adoption process started, fill out an application at www.doxiebyproxy.org/application Together, they’re the perfect mix – Ollie will greet you with enthusiasm, and Momo will give you all the heartwarming moments you didn’t know you needed. ##2282545##

Story
Finn14 years oldFostered in Raleigh18 poundsShort version: Loves his person, good with dogs and cats, needs quiet house without a big dog pack, apartment friendly, heart murmurFinn is the perfect dapper gentleman with a heart full of love. This handsome, dignified 14-year-old pup, who landed in our care after his owner passed away, is truly a total love bug. Despite his age, Finn hasn’t gotten the memo that he’s a senior. Check out the video of him playing in the comments. He is absolutely in love with his foster mom. He follows her around from room to room - even the bathroom. And loves to press his body as close to her as possible when sitting in the couch. He loves to play with his favorite toy, his wooly mammoth, and enjoys exploring his surroundings like a young pup. He gets along fabulously with both dogs and cats, making him a delightful companion in any home.Finn is also the ideal apartment mate — he’s as quiet as a whisper, never barking and always respectful. He’s housetrained and will politely ask to go outside when nature calls, making him a well-mannered resident. Finn thrives in a quiet, peaceful environment, where he can relax, play with his toys, and enjoy the comforts of being a well-loved companion. A large dog pack or busy house would be too much for him at this point in his life.Finn is neutered, UTD on shots, heartworm negative, had senior bloodwork and had a full cardiac workup. Though Finn has a grade 4 heart murmur that doesn’t require medication at the moment, He also has had occasional seizures (no medication required) in the past that according to his past vet haven’t occurred in years.Finn is fostered in Raleigh NC and his new family will need to drive to Raleigh to adopt him - no transports. We prefer families in NC, VA, SC, eastern TN, WV, northern GA, and DC area. To get the process started, fill out an application at www.doxiebyproxy.org/applicationIf you're looking for a loyal, loving, and easy-going friend, Finn might just be the perfect gentleman for you. ##2304715##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Little Man is the sweetest dog you could ask for. He just wants to cuddle and be with you, never met a stranger in his life. It is hard to say he has any chihuahua in him considering his wonderful temperament, but we do still feel it's in there. He is severly overweight and working on losing it with his foster mom. After his dental, we will run bloodwork one more time to be sure everything looks good, but as of right now we believe he is in decent health considering his age. He gets around great despite his extra weight, up and down stairs without issue. Just an excellent consideration for any home hoping to help a senior find his forever home. He can be a little grumbly with more exuberant dogs, but overall he is a very good boy who will still try to play a little himself at times.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2025, 10:39 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi … my name is Dillon! Read my bio to find out everything you need to know about me.   If you think I might be the perfect pup for you, go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete the adoption application online. If you are not able to adopt, please consider donating to AAMR in my name to help with my extended care in rescue. Special needs pups are just that ... special ... and they just need special heroes to come to their rescue.  Have you tried on your hero cape lately? We don’t know a lot about Dillon's early life other than a Good Samaritan took him in to keep him safe after he appeared to have been abandoned on a rural road.  His Good Sam said he sat in one spot on the road for several days and appeared to be waiting for his ‘ride’ to come back to get him.  After about 4 days, he gave up and went looking for food and water, which he found in her garage! We do know that Dillon has some social anxiety issues and he can go from happy to distraught and nippy in situations with multiple people moving around in an area.  He has always done fine in his original foster home, but had a few 'incidents' in an adopting home, and he was returned to AAMR.  It is sad because Dillon is a very sweet and loving little guy ... until his anxiety takes over.  'Stranger Danger' is very real to him and in his mind, he needs to protect himself. We are not really sure of Dillon’s breed mix.  He has a dachshund-like body (long and low) with the head of a tiny yellow lab!  Dillon really deserves a family who wants to help him develop some confidence and some manners so he can be the lucky dog he is meant to be.  He is very excitable and vocal when left alone for too long and will not be the best apartment resident.  Dillon's wish list includes 1) a fenced yard, 2) an low-key, settled family willing to spend time with him and accept his limitations and 3) people to cuddle with every day who will teach him how to be the best boy ever.  Could that be you?Dillon does well with most other dogs, so having another confident, friendly dog in the home may be good for him.  Absolutely no children in the home.  If there are children visiting the home, it will be best to give Dillon a safe, out-of-the-way area to rest in his crate while the children are around.  They make him very anxious. Please read the rest of Dillon's bio below so you can learn more about him.Approximate age/birthdate: ~ early 2015 Weight/size:  ~25 lbs Housebroken:  YES ... as long as you do your part and let him outside often  Crate trained:  YES Personality:  happy, playful, guarded in new situations, wary of new people and animals, anxious about too much activity around him Energy level:  medium    Fenced yard required?:   YES – he definitely needs a safe place to run off excess energy.  A physical fence is required so someone could not just wander in and trigger his anxiety. Does he/she jump fences?  NO  Leash walk:  YES  Obedience training:  Yes, a previous owner took him to class and we know he is very smart. Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK      Spayed/neutered:   YES Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES Microchipped:   YES Social with other dogs:  Somewhat ... once properly introduced.  He gets excited when meeting new dogs and does not like dogs getting in his face.  He will growl if a new dog gets in his face.  Once he has time to properly meet a new dog, he generally does fine.    Social with cats:  Do not know … has not been around cats. We think he would chase them if they ran, but not sure if he would try to harm them. Good with children:  No Children ... he has nipped at children Adoption donation:  $175  We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.  When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Dillon picks you too. If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed. Please email AAMR at weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 1:59 pm
