OLLIE WILL NOT BE ADOPTED SEPERATELY - HE"S BONDED TO MOMO Momo and OllieFostered in Wake ForestBonded Pair – Will only be adopted together. Introducing the dynamic duo: Momo and Ollie. With these two, you get the perfect mix of goofiness and laid back – it’s like having your very own comedy duo. And with these guys, you truly have the best of both worlds. Ollie – The Social ButterflyOllie is 7 years old, and 16 pounds. He is outgoing, friendly, and the life of the party. His dream job? Probably as a Walmart greeter, because he’s always ready to welcome you with open paws. If there’s a lap available, Ollie’s on it faster than you can say “treat!” He’s the kind of dog who will shower you with love and be your cuddle buddy for life. Momo – The Mysterious GentlemanMomo 8 years old and 24 pounds. He is the cool, independent type. This adorable dude likes to take his time and assess the situation, but once he’s comfortable, he’ll show you his sweet side and wag that adorable tail like it’s his full-time job. Bonus: his underbite is so cute, it could be a meme. He’s got a shifty look about it him, if we were naming him, he would be Capone. But it’s all an act, he’s a love bug. They’re house-trained with a good schedule, crate-trained, and get along well with other dogs. They’d be a great match for a working family with kids over 5. Both dogs are on a diet to find their six pack abs and their new family will need to keep up their hard work with diet and exercise. Their new family will need to drive to the Raleigh area to adopt – no transports. We prefer to adopt to families in NC, VA, SC, eastern TN, DC area, Southern MD, VA, and northern GA. They’re up-to-date on everything (bloodwork, dentals, vaccinations), neutered, and heartworm negative. To get the adoption process started, fill out an application at www.doxiebyproxy.org/application Together, they’re the perfect mix – Ollie will greet you with enthusiasm, and Momo will give you all the heartwarming moments you didn’t know you needed. ##2282545##

Story
Finn14 years oldFostered in Raleigh18 poundsShort version: Loves his person, good with dogs and cats, needs quiet house without a big dog pack, apartment friendly, heart murmurFinn is the perfect dapper gentleman with a heart full of love. This handsome, dignified 14-year-old pup, who landed in our care after his owner passed away, is truly a total love bug. Despite his age, Finn hasn’t gotten the memo that he’s a senior. Check out the video of him playing in the comments. He is absolutely in love with his foster mom. He follows her around from room to room - even the bathroom. And loves to press his body as close to her as possible when sitting in the couch. He loves to play with his favorite toy, his wooly mammoth, and enjoys exploring his surroundings like a young pup. He gets along fabulously with both dogs and cats, making him a delightful companion in any home.Finn is also the ideal apartment mate — he’s as quiet as a whisper, never barking and always respectful. He’s housetrained and will politely ask to go outside when nature calls, making him a well-mannered resident. Finn thrives in a quiet, peaceful environment, where he can relax, play with his toys, and enjoy the comforts of being a well-loved companion. A large dog pack or busy house would be too much for him at this point in his life.Finn is neutered, UTD on shots, heartworm negative, had senior bloodwork and had a full cardiac workup. Though Finn has a grade 4 heart murmur that doesn’t require medication at the moment, He also has had occasional seizures (no medication required) in the past that according to his past vet haven’t occurred in years.Finn is fostered in Raleigh NC and his new family will need to drive to Raleigh to adopt him - no transports. We prefer families in NC, VA, SC, eastern TN, WV, northern GA, and DC area. To get the process started, fill out an application at www.doxiebyproxy.org/applicationIf you're looking for a loyal, loving, and easy-going friend, Finn might just be the perfect gentleman for you. ##2304715##

Story
Meet Bobble! It is hard to say that we have ever seen such a ridiculously breed mix before we met Bobble! Bobble is a muscular, low-riding terrier mix (possibly with dachshund, corgi, or Basset hound) with a big head and an even bigger personality! Estimated to be around 4 years old and weighing 37 pounds, Bobble is full of energy and loves the outdoors—whether he’s playing ball, sunbathing, or exploring the yard. Bobble plays hard but settles well when asked. He takes treats and toys gently but prefers not to give them up. He is crate trained, enjoys eating his meals in his crate, and appears to be potty trained when kept on a regular schedule. Bobble is working on his leash skills and learning not to pull or jump. He can seem growly or excitable in new situations, but once he knows everything is okay, he settles quickly. Because of this, he would do best with a strong, confident adopter who can provide structure and leadership. Bobble is skeptical of new people and will give a quick low growl to let them know they are being put on notice. But given one throw of a toy or treat, Bobble's love can completely be bought and the next thing you know, he is slathering you with love! Ideal Home:     •    A fenced yard where he can play and explore     •    A larger, easygoing dog sibling or an adopter willing to give him all the attention as the only dog     •    No children under 10, as he may be too energetic for young kids     •    A committed owner who will continue his training and exercise routine Bobble has not been tested with cats and it would be best for him to go to a home with dogs only over 25 lbs as he tends to play hard and needs a doggie playmate that can match his energy and size. If you’re looking for an active, fun-loving dog with a big personality, Bobble might be your perfect match! Bobble already has a budding social media star just looking for his social media manager to make that happen for him!  Interested in adopting Bobble? Story
Age: 1 1/2 years old Size: 10 lbs Location: Central NC With his curly whiskers and calm demeanor, Rex (best known as Biscuit by his foster mom) has been winning over hearts while he has been in our rescue! This little guy is a 1 1/2 year old, 10 lb chiweenie that found himself scared and alone at one of our local shelters. At first he was struggling to adjust so the shelter staff reached out to our group to help. Thankfully once Biscuit was out of the shelter, he immediately shed the "tough guy" attitude and melted into our arms. For the most part, Biscuit has proven to be a great houseguest as he has settled into our rescue. He gets along famously with his foster fur-siblings and is always up for whatever adventure the day might hold. While we do not know if he gets along with cats, we suspect he might be smaller than any cat he might meet thereby making him a likely candidate for being cat friendly. Housetraining is a work in progress but that progress is going quite well with the exception of some desire to still mark. As long as he keeps a belly band (aka male wrap) on while inside, his desire to mark has been tampered so we expect with a little more distance from his neuter (that was done just a couple of weeks ago), this bad habit will likely subside. Biscuit is one of those guys that is very friendly and loves love -- but he can be independent too! At night he prefers to snuggle up in his own dog bed in the living room to snooze (maybe he is disturbed by his foster fur-siblings snoring)! He does just fine while you are away from the home but always happy upon your return too. Overall it seems that Biscuit has never met a stranger and loves to meet new people. He has not been kid tested but could potentially be arranged for a family interested in adding him to their home. We would recommend, due to his small size, that he not go to a home with kids under 5 years in age. Biscuit is crate trained, leash trained and overall a really great friend ready for his forever home. Biscuit has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped -- ready to go on his next adventure! ##2337146##

Story
Meet Rocky! Age: 12-14 years Size: 14 lbs. Dachshund Mix (with what, we do not know) Rocky landed at an area shelter partner in desperate need of a good dental cleaning and some TLC! This vintage fellow is likely between 12-14 years of age and he comes with all of the wonderful things that come along with loving a senior pet. Rocky is essentially 100% housetrained - and if you have ever loved a dachshund, you know that is a rare find! He can be pretty independent but loves his person too. He chooses to snooze in the most comfy of orthopedic beds in his foster home (old bones need soft beds) but he is delighted to accompany his person on adventures. While in foster care Rocky has loved riding in the car, going for walks and exploring the backyard. Rocky gets along pretty well with other dogs - but doesn't really appreciate those young whipper snappers getting in his face - so maybe a home with other relaxed more vintage pets would be appreciated more. Rocky is cat friendly, he truly isn't going messing with anyone that isn't messing with him! Rocky hasn't needed a crate for many years, he will snooze in his dog bed while you are gone and wait for your return home. While Rocky can be a little grumpy at first, he does warm up. He just prefers a slow and steady pace in all aspects of his life. It appears to perhaps take him a bit longer to warm up to men (potentially) though he has met some men recently and had no issues at all. At Rocky's age, he just likes what he likes and doesn't like what he doesn't like and we are all okay with that! Rocky is well beyond his puppy years and so it would be best for him to be in a home without children as we feel that it would be too much commotion for him. Medical - Rocky has recently had a significant dental where he lost 19 teeth and feels SO much better! He does have a mild heart murmur (3 out of 6) but does not currently require any medications for his murmur which is likely just age related but causes him absolutely no issues at all! Rocky had a senior blood panel which was absolutely beautiful considering his age and condition of his teeth.  If you are looking for a sweet companion, Rocky is the perfect addition to your home! He has just the right mix of get up and go and relax and chill! ##2340793##
