Story
Meet Trixie! Trixie is a 5yr old smoothcoat Dachshund with possibly a slight mix of another small breed. There’s also good reason to believe that she may not be a mix at all. Without genetic testing, Bubbas Station can’t be sure. We are sure that whatever she may be, she is an absolute darling, smart, & friendly dog just looking for a friend. Trixie spent the first several years of her life in the Lancaster puppy mills as a mill momma. The first 3-4 yrs of her life she was used as a puppy maker and milk machine. Once she stopped producing the way the “Man” wanted her to, she had to go. She then landed up for sale in a pet store. A woman bought her and took her home to her apartment where she spent the next 1-2 yrs. Trixie’s owner recently moveed and does not have accommodations for Trixie, once again leaving Trixie homeless. Bubbas Station learned about Trixie’s situation and was able to intervene, thus keeping her out of the Philly shelter. To say this pups life has been a sorted journey, is putting it mildly. As we’ve spent the last two weeks getting to know Trixie, her resilience is to be admired. She has been nothing but a joy to us and each of our volunteers. She is completely housebroken, doesn’t chew anything that was not given to her in the first place. In true Dachshund form, she has nothing but love bubbling over to share with a forever human or a forever family. Trixie being 5 to 6 years old, would be happiest in a calm home, where her humans would be around more often than not. Although we are certain that she would never harm a child, or anything at all, we feel that a home with small children would be too much for Trixie. Therefore, we are looking for a home without small children. Trixie loves all dogs! If you have a playful dog at home that you’ve been considering finding a friend for, Trixie may be a perfect addition! Trixie has shown us that she likes to have a lil privacy when she goes to the bathroom. While leashed just won’t work for her so a fenced yard is a must for her. Story
Meet Abby: Abby is a 6 year old (as of August 2024) dapple dachshund mix that weighs about 10 pounds. Abby was living with a family and the child responsible for pet care wasn’t following through, so Abby was sent to live with his grandmother who wasn’t in the position to care for her. The grandmother knew Abby needed a better life and reached out to surrender her. Abby is in a foster home in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Abby is sweet as pie! She does so well with people and the other foster dogs she has been around, both big and small. Abby is house trained. We would love for Abby to have a fenced in yard to play freely. Abby is up to date on her shots and spayed. If you are interested in having a new best friend, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. ##2146887##

Story
This little pretty chocolate dappled girl is called Mazie and goodness what a cracker jack she is.  Don’t for minute let those green eyes and chocolate marbled coat fool you to think she is gentle or easy.  She is the CEO of dogs and will run the show at your house if given the chance.  Mazie is 30 pounds and 9 months old.  She is a breed mix of Dachshund and Basset Hound we are told.  Her pics make her look big but she is a “tiny but mighty” little girl.  Mazie is not a fan of any other female dogs in her life or around her.  We don’t know where that came from but the dislike is there so we say…don’t ignore the warning.  She is great with big male dogs, not good with other small dogs or cats, but loves people deeply and wants to be around them.  She needs a fenced yard because she is a runner as most Dachshunds can be and she needs to be able to run and play and get her energy out daily.  Older children would be better for her and she is crate trained, 90% housebroken and she adores going for walks; a very good girl on a leash we can say.  She is beautiful but a “tad” bit complicated, which is why we have outlined the Likes and Dislikes of this girl to a TEE!  We want the right and perfect home and there are lots out there that can give her that.  Tiny but Mighty little Mazie is ready for a home NOW!  Please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue : ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Tell us where you live when you email asking for information and an application. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
It's my turn! I am Dalton and my Foster Mom says I am her best ever. I am all about having fun and giving love so I think I won her over. I love life and everyone I meet! Playing ball, running in the yard, rollies, watching TV...all of it...I am so excited about everything I do. So let me ask you...can I help you start your day with a smile? I help my current humans do that and I just know I could help you too. So if you are looking for someone to bring a little joy into your life on an on-going basis, think of me and get that application in over at the DRBC website. I'll be waiting for ya! Dalton is a 3 year old neutered brown and black male who is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative and has been placed on the DRBC long life diet. Story
Hi everybody! My name is Lucky. I am a little nervous about being here because I am not as exciting as all the other doxies at DRBC and I am afraid no one will want to meet and love me. You see, I need a unique home. I need a fenced yard...I really do, because I love to run around and love to sit in the sun and tan. I am really a good boy and I have so much love to give. So if you have a little time to work with me and need some love here I am. Just fill in the application and then let's set that meet and greet date. I can hard wait. See you soon :)! I'll know you...you'll be that extra special human. Lucky is an 2 year old neutered black and tan male doxie who is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative and has been placed on the DRBC long life diet. If you are seriously interested in participating in DRBC's Adoption Program, visit our webpage: www.DRBCAdopts.com to learn more. Story
Little lady Sadie is ready for her forever home after being rescued from a Louisiana hoarder house. We were told she is 2 years but think more like 4-5, 10 pounds.  Sadie is shy at first, needs time to feel comfortable; then a devoted best friend, who loves lap time, being close. She gets along with the other dogs, plays a little, cuddles; can be jealous of lap time with just a tiny growl. She also enjoys yard time. Sadie would love an owner who'd spend lots of time with her. She's a great best friend! Fostered near Philadelphia, PA. Adoption fee $375. www.longdogsrescue.org/application
