Stu may have had a rough beginning to his life but that hasn't left him bitter. He is eager to give and receive affection. Stu is his foster mama's shadow; wherever she goes, he follows. He is getting along well with his two dachshund foster sisters, but mostly just wants human attention. His little face has a lot of character - you'll have to see the smile on this boy yourself. Stu is working on house training and doing very well. He will stay in his crate when foster mama leaves the house, but for sleeping he wants to be in the big bed, right next to the object of his affection. He is a little shy and timid at first but has been warming up quickly and showing signs of playfulness, just started giving kisses, and loves belly rubs. His whole coat is velvet-soft, which is perfect for all the hugs and cuddles he wants to give. Stu has a funny little quirk which is snapping at imaginary flies. Loud noises and sudden movements scare him a bit and currently he is not a fan of baseball on TV due to the movement, but we are determined to make him an Astros fan. He gets along with his foster brother and sister. He is a great eater and is food motivated!!! Brolie sleeps all night quietly in his kennel and loves following his foster mom and sitting in her lap. Brolie is working on not marking his territory in the house, however, he does well going outside to potty... you just have to make sure to prompt him. With some patience and affection Brolie will make someone a wonderful companion. His foster parents have been impressed with this 8 year old, red, shorthair gentleman. He is both leash trained and house trained. He has had no inside accidents as he knows what “Outside” means and will quickly potty as soon as he reaches the grassy area. Cooper is crate trained and spends a quiet night peacefully sleeping in his crate. He is a gentle, non aggressive, dog who has gotten along with his three foster brothers. He loves to sit right by you while you read book or watch TV. Cooper is attentive to the comings and goings of his humans and will be watching intently if someone walks toward the kitchen or opens the refrigerator door. He quickly found the windows that are just the right doggy height to keep an eye on the backyard and will alert the foster brothers as soon as a squirrel has dared to stray into their area. Cooper is very easy going and does well during car transport. He is patiently waiting for his new best buddy to find him and take him home!
