MEET PHOENIX! This handsome 8-year-old Dobie-Rottie mix needs a home! He was rescued from a shelter where he was a shelter favorite, and is currently in the Los Angeles area.. He weighs approx. 80 lbs. Phoenix is still an active and loving guy and will do best with an active person or people who can get him plenty of exercise. He has many positive traits - he is affectionate (he loves to give hugs once he knows you!), he walks well on a leash, and he is a very loyal and sweet dog. He will be your best friend for life . Phoenix prefers to have his person or people around, and will howl just a little if he is lonely. But he is not a barker unless its warranted. He can be a bit protective of his people and his property, and as such, he is dog-reactive on a leash. Phoenix would thrive as an only dog, or at least as an only male dog. MEET CALI, a stunning and regal female fawn Doberman, in need of a foster or forever home. Fawn Dobies often have an exotic, hypnotic beauty - and Cali is just like that! She looks like she came from a magical world. Her full name (Calista) also means "most beautiful" and that is surely the case with this pretty girl. This sweet and gentle 6-year-old girl (paperwork says 7 but we think she's younger) was recently rescued from a California shelter. She was likely used for breeding and then dumped by her previous people. The shelter experience was also a scary one for her. She walks really well on a leash but is afraid of loud noises, so she'd do the best in a quiet home with a single person, a couple or a family. Cali is wonderful with other dogs and a total sweetheart with people. She is calm, quiet and patient. She loves people and other dogs, too. Cali is affectionate, and loves to give kisses! She's also a happy dog who wags her tail enthusiastically when she sees her people. Cali has a moderate energy level and would be content even without enormous amounts of exercise. Bluey is our handsome Doberman/ Australian cattle mix looking for a new adventurous, loving home. He is very outgoing, doesn’t get car sick and loves to dig holes in the yard. He is super gentle with kids of all ages. We got Bluey from the a very high kill shelter at 13 weeks old with his little brother. Both brothers were sent to a new home together after becoming healthy and a year later we get a call that he was at the shelter with a growth on his neck. We picked him up from the shelter, took him to our vet and got him on medicine right away. His neck is completely better now. Blue or Bluey is very hyper, loves being super active, anything outdoor he will be your go to dog. He needs to be in a home with someone or a family that is very active, he dislikes his crate but it crate and house trained. He is the goofiest dog. Since he’s heeled, he will sniff your butt and will love you if you have treats. I can’t wait to meet you!

Cute right? This adorable guy is Sensei and he is finally ready to start the search for a forever home. Ironically enough, Sensei actually needs a sensei or in another words...a teacher. We aren't sure he has a lick of training but we know an experienced and calm owner could do wonders with him. He has mellowed a lot in the last few weeks, a far cry from the emaciated wild child that showed up from the animal shelter. Honestly, he was tough to handle and all over the place at first but he has settled in and become a willing student. We aren't sure if he has any doggie social skills yet but we do know he has some reactivity on leash (common in our breed) so he will need a little work in order to go for walks in the neighborhood. He won't be the right addition for a lot of people but for the right home, Sensei could be an amazing companion. Affectionate, smart and perfect for people who love to be active...absolutely full of potential.
