She's also incredibly cuddly and loyal, always seeking out human companionship. EVIE's resilience and loving nature make her an amazing companion. Her bravery and sweetness are an inspiration. We Adopted Dobey (doe-bee) from the Agoura Animal Care Center when he was 7 months old. he is now 16 months old. Dobey is a good boy that needs more space than we can provide and more attention than we can provide. We have recently welcomed our 5th child into the world and our other 4 children are very young. Dobey is strong and playful and requires daily walks and a yard to play in. Dobey is house-trained and good around children. He still plays with his mouth but does not bite. Dobey is very affectionate and cuddly and likes to sleep in the bed with master. We love Dobey very much, however; he needs more than we can provide and we must dedicate our energy to our infant and toddlers. He is micro-chipped and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Meet Pepper! This sweet one-year-old Doberman puppy (formerly known as Zoey) has been with me for a week now, and she’s already learning so much! She can sit and shake, comes when she hears her name, does not run out when the front door is open, and is gaining confidence getting in and out of the car. We’re still working on new tricks, table manners, and leash training, but she’s eager to learn and incredibly smart.Pepper is a gentle giant with the cutest, wobbly puppy walk—she’s still growing into her long legs like a little Bambi. She’s potty trained, super cuddly, and full of energy! She loves playing with my golden retriever and my families boston terrier (though she definitely has the upper hand in the zoomies department) and would thrive in an active home, especially with another dog to play with.While I haven’t tested her around kids yet, she’s shown no signs of aggression—just plenty of love, kisses, and a playful spirit. She’s also doing great with her food; I can pet her while she eats, and she just wants to snuggle after.Since coming home from the shelter, Pepper has become my little shadow, following me everywhere as she builds her confidence. She’s already such a loyal and loving companion, and she’s ready to find her forever home! Could that be with you?

Tyra is a resilient little lady. She arrived at the shelter with an unknown eye injury, and was so scared! Thanks to the love and patience of volunteers, she is blossoming into a fun, loving, and playful pup. @vcanimalservices From VCAS volunteer Kevin: “Tyra has quickly become a favorite of mine for her resilience. I'm amazed that she's had such a dramatic change so quickly. I love every second of my time with Tyra but I would much rather have her away from the shelter with her forever family OR a foster. She came in as a stray with unknown trauma to her left eye. It looks a little better each day and it's my understanding that she can expect a full recovery- but you'll want to talk to the vet. Because Tyra is still healing, you'll want to talk to the vet about her having a canine sibling as well. She's a special girl. We have her as a year old, but she definitely has some puppy spirit.
