Story
Peanut is a big lug who loves to love! He was originally brought in as a stray, then his owners were found…but they just decided to not come back for him. Peanut didn’t understand why, and we certainly never did either. He’s such a fun goofy boy! He LOVES stuffy toys- to the point that he takes one with on every single walk! He enjoys snuggles with people and is good with basic commands. He does love his tubbies, so it’s always a pleasure for bath time with Peanut. He has such cute little nuances too- the way he runs like a funny inch worm…the way he tucks his little butt in when he’s happy. He’s just a lovable goof you have to meet!

Story
*COURTESY POST* Joker is a charming 4 1/2-year-old Doberman Pinscher currently being fostered through Catskill Animal Rescue in NY. This sweet boy has a lot of love to give and is looking for a dedicated, experienced Dobie owner to share his life with. Joker loves going for walks and being with his humans. He can be around other dogs, but a meeting is required to ensure compatibility. Given his past as a cruelty case where he was kept in a small kennel, resulting in bowed rear legs, Joker needs a home that understands his special needs. Joker is great at following commands and does well on a leash, though he might pull if something catches his interest. He has a tendency to tear up toys but doesn't resource guard. While he hasn't been around young kids, he behaves well around people. Joker is dog selective and only barks when someone approaches the house. Currently in a foster home, Joker is doing well but may have occasional accidents indoors if he becomes anxious. He loves car rides and is happiest when he's close to his humans. An experienced Doberman owner is preferred, and it's important that Joker isn't crated. To apply for Joker, please visit Catskill Animal Rescue's website and complete an application: https://www.catskillanimalrescue.com/app-faq Let's help Joker find the loving forever home he deserves! Story
Meet Gonzo! Gonzo is a sweet and resilient 5-year-old Doberman looking for his forever home. He has been through a lot but still has a heart full of love and loyalty. His foster family describes him as a happy, affectionate boy who adores his people. They’ve been helping him learn leash manners, and he's been responding well to crate training, happily going into his crate and showing his calm, gentle side. While Gonzo is friendly with people, he would do best as the only pet in a home. His high prey drive means he needs a cat-free environment, and he’s shown some food and toy guarding behaviors around other dogs. His foster family has managed this carefully, but for his success and comfort, a home without other pets would likely be ideal. Gonzo would benefit from a family willing to continue his training, as he’s learning quickly and wants to please. Gonzo is ready to find his perfect match. He’s looking for a family who will appreciate his journey and give him the love, patience, and understanding he deserves. Story
Dawkins is a stunning one-year-old blue Doberman with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He’s playful, goofy, and full of life, always ready for a game of fetch, zooming around the yard, or proudly carrying his favorite toy. But behind his fun-loving nature is a dog who desperately needs stability. Dawkins has spent too much of his young life without structure, and he needs a committed home with someone who understands him and can help him thrive. Dawkins is a high-energy dog who struggles with impulse control and needs a structured environment with routine and consistency. He is not a dog that can be given too much freedom too soon and will do best with an experienced Doberman or working-breed owner who understands how to help him succeed. He would do best in a home without young children and needs someone who can read his cues and provide clear guidance. He has enjoyed playing with some dogs, but he does best with careful introductions and would not be a good fit for a home with another dominant male. His adopter must also be willing to continue his training and keep him on his current medication regimen while he continues to progress. Dawkins is affectionate, eager to learn, and full of potential. He deserves a home where he can be set up for success and given the consistency he has never had. There is a good home out there for Dawkins—we just need to find it. If you have the experience, patience, and commitment to give Dawkins the life he deserves, please reach out. Story
Meet Vader! While his name’s sake might be a Sith Lord, this sweet boy is nothing like him. Vader is a 1-year 8-month-old neutered male who is an absolute love! He soaks up every bit of attention he can get from each person he meets. When walked on a slip lead, he pulled a bit at first but was easily corrected with a bit of skill work and training treats. He is very attentive and would thrive in a home that would continue helping him learn. While Vader seems to be afraid of cats, he is dog friendly and loves people. He has been neutered and is up to date on all vaccines and heartworm prevention. He is currently located in New Ringgold, PA. Do you think you could welcome this sweet man into your life? Story
Ollie wants to play with you…and you! And you! Ollie is a sweet red boy who loves giving kisses, being pet, and playing ball! He is an 8-month-old high-energy teenager who would thrive in an active family that can give him structure, training, and an outlet for his enthusiasm. Ollie says, “No cats, please...” but he may do well with a large, balanced female dog. He would not be suited to living with small dogs or other dominant males. He loves to meet new people though, and he might even jump up to give you a sloppy kiss on the face! Ollie would benefit from crate training to learn that he can be safe and sound on his own while getting a nice rest after all of his activity. Ollie is up to date with vet checks, vaccines, and heartworm. He was recently neutered and is now learning not to mark his territory! Can you give sweet Ollie a fun, safe, and furever home? He can’t wait to be a part of your family. Fill out our adoption application today at www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DPR/Dog PA Kennel License # 14649
