Story
Meet Elmer Fudd!  Elmer Fudd is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). Born on November 6, 2024, lovable Elmer Fudd is a young Doberman pinscher mix puppy who just arrived at our rescue. He has black and rust coloring, and we estimate he will be a large dog when grown. Part of our Looney Tunes litter, Elmer Fudd traveled with his mom and eight siblings from a shelter in Devine, Texas to find a new home in the PNW area. We are currently taking applications for Elmer Fudd, and he will be able to go home with an adopter after his neuter surgery in early January. Goofy and playful, Elmer Fudd is settling into a foster home with his mother and siblings. He will thrive in a home with dogs, cats, and children. When old enough, he will begin crate, potty, leash, and obedience training. We will be learning more about Elmer Fudd in the coming days, so please check back for more information. In the meantime, he is spending his days getting lots of cuddles, playtime, love, and new adventures with his foster family. Elmer Fudd is growing into a healthy, active, affectionate pup ready for his new home. Want to meet Elmer Fudd? Fill out an inquiry form or visit our website for more information! What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!). Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process. Meet your potential pup at the home of the foster family (the process may differ slightly for long distance adopters). Bring your potential pup home for a no commitment In Home Trial. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time. Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process. Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course. Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events. Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process.   ##2255655##

Story
Baby is a 8 year old Dobie (about 65 lbs) from Pennsylvania. We’ve had her since she was 6 weeks old. Affectionate and loving, she will stick to you like glue. Very curious but respectful of other dogs. She’ll rarely instigate a shouting match, but is quick to make her bark heard, if challenged. She’s extremely patient with our prodding son, and certainly loves any opportunity to stretch her legs- be it a sprinting cat chase (she has never hurt our cat, just pokes at him with her nose and loves to chase him), a stroll around the neighborhood, or a fun game of fetch. Fortunately, she also loves to laze around in the house and relax. She is definitely an inside dog. She is up to date on all shots and has a clean bill of health. Unfortunately, we will be moving onto a military base soon, and their breed restrictions will not allow her on. We will be heartbroken to let her go, but hope to find her a loving forever home with lots of space and a pet parent with lots of love to share

Meet Slurpee – The Sweetest Shy Boy 🐶 Slurpee is a gentle soul looking for a loving, patient home where he can truly shine. He’s a bit shy at first, but once he feels safe, he’ll quietly lean into your legs for comfort and gentle pets. 💛 He loves the company of other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident, friendly canine buddy to show him the ropes. A securely fenced yard would be perfect for him to explore at his own pace. He might even be okay with a dog-savvy cat! Slurpee is treat motivated, making training a rewarding experience for both of you. He’s also doing great with pottying outside—such a good boy! If you’re the kind, patient person who can offer Slurpee the time and love he deserves, he might just be the perfect new member of your family. 🐾 Are you the one he’s been waiting for?
