Story
So happy we were able to save Bo . As of this morning he had no chance but we were able to find a foster at the last minute. This is a very special breed and not common here in Florida. They are not for everyone and certainly not if you live in a condo. Needs a home and some land. He is a Treeing Walker Coonhound. He was a stray and went unclaimed. He was stressed in the kennel and needed to get out. His weight is 42LBS. Good health and a great heart!! He is fine with other dogs, just like to sniff around and around. What a nose!!!!!!! He is now in foster care in the country and that is great for him. He loves it!! He loves to ride on the tractor and loves to go after everything who is moving!! He is a great boy... If you are worry about rats he will take care of them. Great hunting dog. We know that dogs in shelter are very stressed and only a few of them actually make it to adoption. Bo was tested and had no issues in the beginning. just needs a hand. Very handsome dog!! if you would like to meet him and adopt him please fill out the application online. His adoption fee is $200. His adoption fee will go toward training.

Story
Sally (4 years old- 40LBS) was one of the 4 “border dogs” that were transported from Texas to Florida. Many phone calls where made to different rescues but no one wanted them. Only our Rescue partner decided to take them. They arrived during the night after a very long journey. They were dirty, smelled so bad but you could see in their eyes they were so grateful to be off the streets and in a safe place. We are unsure of the details, but it appears they were abandoned and were being fed by reporters. They were pampered with baths and lots of love and did extremely well during grooming sessions! Sally loves her crate and needs a fenced yard so she can go and play with all her toys. She is truly a special dog with a golden coat. She has been with her foster Mom over a year and somehow didn't find her happy home yet. Give her a chance. Age appropriate vaccinations and spay included in adoption fee which is $150.00 Please remember All adoption / donation fees go toward helping the animal’s clinical care and special needs dogs in our care. Please make an application online at www.ftanimalrescue.org and click the word FORM and submit. Thanks for rescuing.

Story
Endicott is one of two great puppies who have an incredible story and finally arrived in the USA to find their forever home. Endicott is now the only puppy available for adoption. He was found along with his siblings starved, dehydrated, covered in scratches, and riddled with parasites in a Mexican beach town. A kind American nursed them back to health, taking them to the vet frequently, then obtained all necessary paperwork to fly them back to Florida. He is 5 months old, healthy, happy, UTD on all shots, neutered, and on NextGard heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Sweet and gentle, with the usual puppy energy, and quite low-maintenance. People always say mutts make the best pets and these two prove the point! He is working on his potty training and is eager to please. He comes when called, and sits on command. Well behaved in the car, and learning to walk on a leash. He loves to run and play, then collapse and nap. Endicott wants to be close to his people. He seems grateful for the second chance he has been given. As you can see from the photos he is a lab/terrier mix. Endicott (all black except for white toes) is also on the smaller side weighing about 30 lbs and he likely won't get much bigger. Adoption fee is $250.00

Story
Meatball is a fun young pitty boy who loves the attention and of course loves to play. He is a wiggly boy!! He is only 2 1/2 years old 49LBS and get along with everyone including other dogs. Just happy, happy!! He has been living with many other dogs and has been doing great. This is a note from his foster Mom: He came to us from a multi dog house and fit in immediately. Dominant dogs are not an issue with him, he ignores them but quickly conforms to the scenario. Chasing lizards is his favorite thing to do. So a fenced in yard would be great. Walking on a leash is not a problem; however, he does like to pull occasionally, so a strong parent is best. Occasionally he gets excited and likes to jump on his human friends. We are working on that and making great progress. Treats and food definitely motivate him to behave. He is definitely curious of cats and wants to sniff them. As long as they don't run, he won't chase. So we've introduced him to cats while he is in the crate and he is starting to ignore them. He is the biggest lover and just wants belly rubs from his humans. His bark is basically a grumble and non existent. This "Meatball" will make the best and most loyal companion. if you are interested in a really nice doggy, he is your guy. Please fill out the application online at pets@findahomegiveahome.com under the forms tab. He is up to date and neutered. Crate trained!!! His adoption fee is $100

Story
Jingle goes to doggie day care 3 times a week and is great with other dogs and social. Looking for an active home. He is now in training school for the next 2 weeks!!!! Jingle was bought to the shelter as a stray and could not be adopted since he was very fearful and shaking. He has a sister who was adopted as well as his mother who adopted with another dog. Jingle is wonderful and has some separation anxiety so he will need another well mannered dog. Being part of a pack is so important for some dogs. I know I have one who is extremely anxious and does wonderful with his friend Chase. He is 55LBS and 1 year old. This is what his foster Mom has to say about him: Jingle is a love. Gentle taking treats. Sits, gives his paw. Doesn't bark. Doesn't shed much. Very loving who wants to hug everyone. He is fully vetted and microchiped. He is a mix with some kind of wired terrier. He is wonderful and deserves a great home. He is enrolled in a doggie daycare so he can play. If you are interested in giving him a home, please fill out the application online under the forms tab. His adoption fee is $150
