We have had Cain since he was a wee puppy and he is now over 6 years old. Cain would thrive with a family who can give him a little more attention and structure than we are currently able to provide. He is very intelligent, affectionate, and friendly. He loves cats and although he likes to try to play with them like they are other dogs he is trained to leave our cats alone. He is eager to please, loves playing with other dogs, and getting belly rubs from family, friends, and children.

We pull dogs from the local shelter and place them into temporary homes until we can find them forever homes. The more foster homes we have, the more dogs we can save. There are more than 6 MILLION dogs and cats euthanized every year. We cannot make a difference alone. We need you to open your home to a dog that would otherwise be euthanized. 'Saving the life of one animal may not change the world, but the world will surely change for that one animal' The shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the dog's predominant breed or breed mix. We strongly encourage you to select your new pet by looking at each dog's individual personality and pet qualities rather than relying on a breed label that is only our best guess. Our adoption fees vary from $150 and up. All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, heart worm preventives, and flea/tick medication, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. SENIORMeet Rose! Rose is a 10 year old Hound mix. Rose is a really sweet girl! Rose needs a home that is dedicated to working with her. She craves love and attention, as she really aims to please and wants to work for you! She would need slow introductions with other dogs, as she is an alpha female, and not recommended for a home with cats or dogs (until fully trained). It would be best to have an experienced, strong person. She would take very well to training and it is highly recommended. Because of her hound nose, she would not be allowed liberty until full trained, and she loves to run and might wander off a track! Rose MUST have a tall fenced yard.
