Story
Hi! Tikaani is such a loving, low energy malamute who really likes a lot of attention and cuddles. Unfortunately, he does not do well with toddlers or small babies. He does well with older children who know to respect his space when needed. He would do best in a house without another dog. He has never been with a cat, but he has been around cats at the kennel whenever we board him.

Story
This is Maggie! Maggie is a sweet heart. She is a 7 year old Pit Bull boxer mix. Maggie has been fostered in our family for the last year. Maggie was a family members companion that no longer could take care of her. We have since brought Maggie to good health, and allowed her to be part of our family! Maggie loves to be with other animals. She loves to cuddle with anybody! Since we began fostering, our family welcomed a baby boy into our family. Maggie has been great with the baby! She is a great protector and is very gentle. We are looking to find a home for Maggie because our busy work schedules and other responsibilities do not allow us to continue fostering her. She would be great for anyone from a single person to a multi person family.

Story
Eggs is a sweetie that just wants to cuddle and be a lap dog.. He came to us as a long term foster with the back story of the owner not being able to keep in the apartment complex. But they moved on without looking back. We have kept him for two years with our two existing dogs and think that he'd be best as an only baby. We have struggled to try to make it work because he is such a love bug, but it's not really fair to him, or our other dogs. He has anxiety that we are managing with meds, but does beautifully as a solo. During a moving period, Eggs was the only dog in a stay at home situation and thrived! Needs to be solo or with only 1 other with ample lap access.

Story
Lieutenant is a very good dog, and has a lot of obedience training. He responds to all obedience commands and is a quick learner even as an older dog. He does have anxiety and is pretty high energy. He needs to be crated when left alone because his anxiety manifests as marking(peeing) on things. I don’t know why he does it, tried everything but he still does it if he is left on his own. I’m guessing it’s a separation anxiety thing. He never does it if he is around me, only if he is left alone. He never pees in his crate and if you put a doggy diaper on him, he’s perfectly fine to be left alone or out of his crate at night. He also has a nervous tick in which he growls when he receives affection. It’s completely non aggressive and he’s never bitten me or anyone in 10 years. It’s his way of displaying contentment. It’s kind of like a cat purring. I can’t lie, he’s a weirdo but the most lovable weirdo who.

Story
Meet Oliver! Oliver was admitted to the shelter in 2019 as an owner surrender. Oliver is a vocal pup that likes to talk and sing. When he's out of his kennel, he enjoys sniffing around and checking out his environment as typical hound mixes do. He likes to be pet and get attention. He does well for photoshoots and enjoys posing pretty! He knows a few commands like sit and paw and would love to learn more! He is a very smart boy. In the shelter environment, he seems to be scared of cats, but has made friends with other dogs through the fence. Due to his temperament and size, Oliver would do best in an adult home or a home with older children. If you're looking for a faithful companion, Oliver may be the one for you.Good with/Lived with:Dogs: Selective.Cats: Selective.Kids: Older 13+Activity Level: MediumWeight: 70-75 lbs. Story
Buddy is an inquisitive 5-year-old lab/hound mix. He absolutely loves to be outside, nose to the ground, exploring his surroundings. It takes some time for Buddy to get used to a person and he can be a really protective dog when it comes to those he is fond of. Once he gets to know you, Buddy loves to spend time with you. He is content to be around other dogs and loves to take a nap. He has the perfect energy balance of excitement when outside, but calm and quiet inside. Due to his protective nature, Buddy has a couple of biting incidents in his history. He would benefit from a force free trainer and leash training as well. If you think you can provide Buddy with a forever home, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or fourfootedfriends82@gmail.com.
