Hi friends, I'm Remy. When I started my do-over life I wasn't really sure what to expect. Things weren't great the first time around but boy oh boy, life is really awesome now. I live in a warm house with millions of soft cozy beds. I have 4 foster doggie siblings that I have so much fun playing with. I have a huge yard that I LOVE to run zoomies in. And toys, I have so many and I'm learning how to play!! I'm looking for a mom or dad who will spoil me and find out what all my favorites are. I also hope to have kids around to share my days with. I really love people, all of them. And if you want to see me bounce around and act like the true puppy just go for a walk or run with me! Introducing our three yr. old girl Sofie. She is 11 lbs. full of cuddles and kisses. We are looking for confident owners for our girl who can give her all the attention she so craves. Sofie loves to be by your side and very loyal to her family. Car rides are a breeze with Sofie as she can lay in her car seat for hours and enjoys a bit of wind in her face. She is also crate/Leash trained and has never had any accidents in our home. She has been seen by our veterinarian and is diagnosed with luxating Patellas which is very common in this breed. Stage 1 is very low risk, and she does not have any pain or discomfort. Joint supplements are recommended by our vet to keep her in the low risk for as long as possible. Sofie is a joy to be around and will have you playing with her squeaky toys all day long. Another companion in the home is preferred as she loves to play and cuddle with other doggies as well. Linus is a 10 mo old special needs puppy. He is blind and has hydrocephalus treated by surgical intervention to place a permanent shunt. Due to his conditions, he may require additional medical intervention in the future by his neurologist who is practices out of VRC in Malvern, PA therefore we are looking for a home within a reasonable driving distance to this vet hospital. We were asked to take Linus by a breeder because he had special needs and could not be sold. Linus was in very bad shape when we picked him up and required immediate emergency medical care to save his life. Through his medical work up by a neurologist, including MRI, spinal tap, and bloodwork, we learned he has severe hydrocephalus (excess fluid on the brain) that was causing him to have seizures and other neurological symptoms and that he is blind. We were told our only options were euthanasia or surgery to place a shunt to drain the excess fluid from his brain into his abdomen (VP shunt). Of course we chose to save him. Linus did well with his surgery and has been able to be neutered and receive all vaccines, and is now ready to find his forever home. Aside from being blind, Linus is a typical playful puppy. He does not require any medications currently. Having a shunt does not interfere with his daily activity but does make him a bit more fragile overall. Linus will do best in a quiet home environment with adults or a family with older children. He would prefer to be the only dog in the home, but may be ok with 1 other small dog. A home with prior experience caring for a special needs pet is preferred, but we will consider a family willing to take on the challenges associated with having a blind dog. ##2091332##
