Story
Zee, a working girl that was recently retired, is a precious little female Maltese that LOVES to snuggle. Her date of birth is 5/15/19. She was obese when rescued and needed to lose a couple of pounds before her spay so that it would be less traumatic for her. She is now spayed, had a dental, is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. On 7/1/24 she weighed 10.4 pounds which is a healthy weight for her. Zee is being fostered in Arkansas. Her adoption donation is $1000 plus an additional $165 transport fee. She can walk on a leash but much prefers to be carried, like the little diva that she is. If you would like to give this little girl a fairytale retirement forever home, please complete the first step in the adoption process by filling out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. href="http://dhd.coffeecup.com/forms/bhsapp/">You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer will contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Meet Chloe, a very happy 6/7 yo eight-pound Maltese with the energy of a 2-3 yo (when she's not sleeping, which is a lot), who was surrendered by a commercial breeder after living the life of a breeding mama. Chloe loves being with her person, happily napping on a chest, lap or belly of anyone who wants to give her a warm spot and snuggles. She loves her crate, especially if the door is left open so she can come and go when she wants. She sleeps in it all through the night in the bedroom with it open and is hysterical to watch wake up in the morning. Using her front legs and paws to rub her floppy 'Gremlin' ears and the sleep from her eyes, rolling over on her side just waiting for the anticipated belly rubs she invites and has learned to love! She's working on her potty training, occasionally having peeing accidents (regression is common when changing environments). Chloe has been spayed and has had a full mouth tooth extractions done so wet food mixed with water to make a soup works well for her, not only so she can get it out a bowl easier, but because she does not like to drink water out of a bowl. She has learned to tolerate a collar on her and has been adapting well to walking on a leash. She's made it around almost an entire block! She's little, and she loves exploring new sights and smells, so we don't get too far with her little legs moving a mile a minute, but she would happily be carried around a few more blocks! She still needs to work on her commands, choosing to make up her own mind if she wants to listen or not. Due to her small size and aversion to loud noises and sudden movements, we feel that she would not do well in a home with young children. She would love a home where her new family is home more than not. Chloe is UTD on all vaccines, altered and on preventives. If interested in adding this sweet little girl to your family, apply today! Any family interested in Chloe will need to be willing to travel to Berks County for a meet and greet. All residential dogs will also need to come to the meet. www.zoeshouserescue.com PO Box 2372 Reading, PA 19608 Kennel License #9117

Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 302-312-5129 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 August 19, 2024, 8:52 am

Story
Introducing our three yr. old girl Sofie. She is 11 lbs. full of cuddles and kisses. We are looking for confident owners for our girl who can give her all the attention she so craves. Sofie loves to be by your side and very loyal to her family. Car rides are a breeze with Sofie as she can lay in her car seat for hours and enjoys a bit of wind in her face. She is also crate/Leash trained and has never had any accidents in our home. She has been seen by our veterinarian and is diagnosed with luxating Patellas which is very common in this breed. Stage 1 is very low risk, and she does not have any pain or discomfort. Joint supplements are recommended by our vet to keep her in the low risk for as long as possible. Sofie is a joy to be around and will have you playing with her squeaky toys all day long. Another companion in the home is preferred as she loves to play and cuddle with other doggies as well. We offer out-of-state adoptions and can arrange transportation to your location, provided that the transport expenses are covered. The adoption fee for this adorable pup is $1500, which includes all veterinary costs, comprehensive care during her time with us, and ongoing training until she finds her forever home. Get in touch with us today and share details about yourself, the loving home you can provide, and your experience with the breed. We will be in contact with you shortly. Thank you!
