Story
Chase needs a foster or foster to adopt or Adopter! Chase was in a high kill shelter with minimal resources in North Carolina for 3 months living in a run. He was just days away from being euthanized when PLP saved him! Chase is about 2 years old and weighs 45lbs. We believe he is a hound mix. He has beautiful golden eyes and the most genuine smile. Chase is so sweet! He loves to be with his people. He is still learning what are toys, and what are not. He loves to play and take walks. After being in the shelter for sooo long, the crate does stress him out. But he has been sleeping on his own dog bed with no problems. He is still working on house training. His foster has discovered that if he gets the zoomies inside, it’s time to take him out immediately! He takes treats and food from your hand very softly and gently. Chase likes to jump up and give hugs, so he has been working on "down" and he is getting it. He loves the dog park and he is very social! At home, he is either napping, or following you and watching what you are doing. He has been good on a long lead in an unfenced yard but would love a fenced yard where he can run without restriction. When outside, he needs supervision or good locks on the gate as he has been able to unlock them at his foster home. He is good with dogs but not with cats-he wants to chase them! Chase is up to date on all vaccines and preventives, neutered, and microchipped. He did test heartworm positive so is currently on medication. Chase is located in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area. Home visit, approved, application, and adoption donation of $150 required.

Bear is a good boy, but our landlord is persistent in removing us because of the dog. I am financially unable to relocate and I must do something quickly. Bear is so affectionate and never makes a sound. He only needs one good walk a day and then he could hangout all day. Please help, thank you.

Story
Introducing Hercules; Your New Best Friend! Meet Hercules, the sweetest senior pup you'll ever come across! This charming gentleman is 10 years young and is on a mission to find his forever home where he can live out his golden years in comfort and love. Hercules is the epitome of sweetness and gentleness. He's currently living the good life with some little doggie pals and is more than happy to cozy up to both small and big dogs alike. However, being the chill dude that he is, Hercules might prefer a friend who's equally laid-back. As for his feelings towards cats, it's a bit of a mystery, but Hercules doesn't seem too bothered by the wildlife that occasionally pops up outside his fence. He's more interested in soaking up the sun on the back porch, where he loves to lounge and relax. When it comes to manners, Hercules is top-notch. He's fully house-trained and crate trained, making him the perfect houseguest. But don't let his relaxed demeanor fool you—this boy gets a burst of energy at the sight of a leash! He absolutely adores his walks, where he can sniff around and enjoy the fresh air. Hercules is a social butterfly when it comes to meeting other dogs. His ears perk up, and he lets out a little whine of excitement before politely greeting them and continuing on his way. And don't forget about playtime! Hercules loves chasing after toys in the yard, although he's more than happy to return them somewhere near your feet (most of the time). When it's time to unwind, Hercules is a pro at couch cuddles. He'll happily join you for a Netflix marathon, and if you're lucky, he might even rest his head or paw on your lap—talk about heart-melting! In true Hercules fashion, this laid-back guy moves in slow motion, rarely jumping or barking. Instead, he'll politely let out a little whimper if he wants something, making him the perfect gentleman companion. If you're searching for a mellow buddy with a heart of gold and plenty of love to give, Hercules might just be the perfect match for you. Set up a time to meet him to see if you're the lucky one to welcome this lovable fella into your home! Approved application, home visit, and adoption donation of $150 required.
