Story
Hi, my name is Kitty. I am 5 months old now and was one of a litter of 3 from a feral cat colony. I was captured 2 weeks ago now and becoming socialized. I like to be petted, love the brush and love to play with my mouse. I am now getting my shots and will be neutered in about 2 months. I am still afraid of human sounds but getting accustomed to them. My mother was a Tortoiseshell and my father was a yellow/white Ragdoll. From the owner: I have 2 house cats that I trapped as feral kittens from the same colony. One kitten 2 years ago and another kitten last summer. I started feeding this kitten (second litter), with the entire colony since last summer. I trapped Kitty after reappearing after missing for a month and appeared underweight. He is ok now. I would like to take him in but I have 3 house cats. Thank you for your interest and love for animals in need. Ken

Story
Hi, I’m Jerry! I was rescued alongside my colony mate, Ben (who has since found his forever home), and made my way to Smittens to get adoption-ready. Now, I’m looking for a patient and loving home of my own! I’m a gentle and affectionate boy with long, fluffy fur and a unique feature - one green eye and one blue eye! While I can be a bit shy at first, once I feel safe, I absolutely love being pet and lounging with my foster family. Loud noises and sudden movements make me a little nervous, so I prefer a calm environment where I can fully relax. I’ve been around other cats, but I tend to do my own thing rather than interact with them. My favorite pastime? Playing with wand toys! I’m a friendly and loving cat - I just need a little time to get comfortable and learn that I’m safe. If you’re looking for a sweet companion who will thrive with patience and love, I might be the perfect match for you!Jerry tested FIV+ which is usually an incidental finding in healthy cats and Jerry is a healthy boy! Feline Immunodeficiency Virus is a retrovirus sometimes passed (usually among intact outdoor cats fighting) through deep bite wounds. Most cats live long, normal lives never knowing they carry the dormant virus, but it is something to let your vet know about.

Story
Hi my name is Mercy! I was recused with my two sisters, Blanche and Paige. Unfortunately we faced a tough start after we were placed on the euthanasia list because we were exposed to and then developed ringworm. We are so thankful that Smittens gave us the second chance that we deserved as ringworm is a treatable skin infection! I’m a total love bug who will happily demand all the cuddles. I’m a super sweet and affectionate little girl that knows exactly what I want - endless pets! I’m purry and very playful, making me the perfect companion for anyone looking for a snuggly best friend. I would thrive in a home with another kitty playmate to keep me company!

Story
Hi there, I’m Bravo - a gentle giant! I’m a big, fluffy boy with a heart just as soft as my fur. My journey started in Riverside, where I was rescued from behind a dumpster with other feral cats. Luckily I received medical attention for a wound I had on my face and then brought to Smittens to continue healing. Thanks to some amazing care from Smittens and my foster mom, I’m all healed up, and my fur is growing back beautifully! I’m the definition of a lovebug - I adore pets, give the best head nuzzles, and will happily curl up in your lap whenever I get the chance. My purrs are nonstop, and my love for food is just as strong - I’ll race you to my bowl at mealtime (or anytime you walk in that direction, honestly). I get along well with other cats, though I may need a little time to adjust to energetic kittens since I’m more of a laid-back kind of guy. Wand toys are fun occasionally, but my favorite pastime is simply relaxing on the couch with you. I have a calm, kind nature and can’t wait to find a forever home where I can be your cuddly companion.

Story
Hello, I’m Perdita! I was rescued from the streets along with my five adorable kittens - Patch, Disco, Lucky, Freckles, and Penny. As a super sweet, gorgeous tuxedo with soft, fluffy fur, I’m all about affection. I love to lean into your pets and even give a little butt lift to show just how much I enjoy the attention! After being a dedicated, loving mom to my kittens, I’m ready for a new chapter. Now that they’re old enough to thrive on their own, I’m excited to find a forever home where I can relax and enjoy all the love I deserve!

Story
How Penny arrived: Penny was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team. Why Penny is the one for you:Penny is a sweet senior kitty who's looking for a loving home to spend her golden years! Penny is very social with her humans, and has the most fantastic purr. She is surprisingly agile in her old age, and loves to trot around the house. She is almost always a tail-up, happy cat who loves to be in the company of people. Penny is calm and gentle and is looking for a home that can match her laid-back energy. She may prefer to be the only cat in the home so she can soak up all the love and attention! She does have some health issues that come with being a senior, but they aren't slowing her down! If you're ready to give this sweet gal the peaceful home she deserves, email her foster parent at cjkeith459@gmail.com today! At SDHS:Penny has been vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and is now ready for her new home! Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 15.58 Age: 16yrs 9mths 1wks
