"Rocky. Our fighter and our champion. His name describes not just his will, but likely his life before LYFF stepped in. He was brought into rescue from the street in February 2024 and LYFF immediately answered the call. A call that came just in the nick of time it seems, as he was in horrible shape and likely would not have survived much longer on his own. The first few weeks were pretty scary for his foster mom, who spent the first several (sleepless) nights right by his side. But Rocky lived up to his name. He fought back and to date has more than double his intake weight of a meager 5.6 lbs. Rocky's endured countless I.V. fluid sessions, alll the ear cleanings, baths, nails trims, shots, meds, vet visits, neuter/dental work appointments, ... basically all the things cats loathe! And yet he still wants nothing more than a solid belly rub before each meal. These gorgeous cats are such a delight.---Bean is a quietly confident and cuddly girl who is very playful: a tiered trackball is her favorite so she can send those balls spinning around! Fuzzy mice, little springs, sparkle balls, wand toys, and laser lights round out her play efforts and she is a very fun kitty. Bean isn’t currently a direct-on-your-lap cat but she wastes no time snuggling up against your side when you’re sitting on the couch or sleeping in bed.---Rio is low-key and self-assured. He loves interaction with his people: being petted, being played with, and being snuggled with! He’ll be cuddled up with you at night and is a really good boy who makes a great companion.COMPATIBILITY: Bean and Rio would make a lovely pair to adopt as the only cats in the home. If not adopted with Rio, Bean would be best suited as a solo kitty. She actively dislikes female cats; though she gets along well with Rio and ignored the one other male she met in foster, it is difficult to tell how she’d feel about all male cats. Rio is more open-minded and seems okay with other cats who don’t initiate conflict. We don’t know their thoughts on dogs.
