Story
Chloe may have started as a stray, but she’s ready to settle into her next home! During her time in foster care, she proved to be an incredibly social and friendly girl who loves meeting new people. She’s playful, curious, and always up for a good time—especially if there are ping pong balls or crinkly toys involved! Her favorite toy is her fish, where you can see she always has it by her side! She has the cutest little meows and will roll over to show off her belly, though she’s not the biggest fan of belly rubs. If you try, she might just grab your hand for a fun game instead! Chloe did great with the older kids in her foster home. When it comes to food, Chloe knows what she likes—dry food and pate-style wet food are her favorites, but she’ll pass on the chunky wet food, thank you very much! If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and social cat to brighten your home, Chloe is ready to be your new best friend! Story
If you're looking for a cat to put a smile on your face, Mouse is your boy! The person who brought him here as a stray said she had been feeding him outside for a year. He has been quite the clown and will make you laugh with his antics and impressive elevator butt. Mouse is a love bug extraordinaire whom anyone can pet, as well as good conversationalist who will tell you all about his adventures. Because he's been outdoors a long time, he may prefer to be an indoor/outdoor kitty who would love to be showered with fun toys and generous playtime with his favorite people. Looking for the purrfect cat? Choose Mouse! If you're ready to adopt now: Come on in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30-3:00! Story
Tiger is a big, handsome orange tabby who is not enjoying his current accommodations. At the shelter, he’s giving us his best grumpy cat impression, but according to his previous owner, that’s all an act. In his real life, Tiger was a total social butterfly. He loves attention, greets you at the door, rolls around for treats and enjoys playtime. He’s also an expert hunter of both mice and houseflies—so if you’ve ever wanted a cat with built-in pest control, he’s your guy. His house mates have included small dogs (that he liked), large dogs (that he was a little scared of) and children. He has never lived with other cats but may do just fine with a slow introduction. But here’s the deal: Tiger has a significant heart murmur. Right now, it’s not slowing him down, and he’s not in need of treatment. And even if he was—well, let’s just say that probably isn’t happening. Tiger has made it very clear that he is not a fan of vet visits. So instead, you’ll be giving him a happy home, lots of love, and a good life for however long he’s got. If you’re looking for a cat with personality and charm, come meet Tiger. He’s ready to go home—just as soon as he finds the right human to take him there. If you're ready to adopt now: Come on in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30-3:00! For in-shelter pets (not in foster care) You can also: Call us (413-781-4000 x 1) or email us (springfield@dakinhumane.org) for more information about a pet, to adopt sight unseen or to place a 24 hour hold on a pet. Story
Shelby is a 4.5 year old, neutered, housebroken, formerly feral love bug who seeks lots of attention and loves to cuddle up on the couch. He has good house manners but is a little weary of strangers. He was a kitten in a freral cat colony when he was trapped and neutered (hence the clipped ear). He was supposed to be released back into the wild but adapted well to domestic living and the pampered life. He has not been outdoors since he was 8 weeks old and does not have the skills to survive outside. He has been living with his sister, Tes, also available, his entire life. We would like to see them stay together. We can no longer keep the cats due to our health issues. See more pictures on their instagram https://www.instagram.com/tesla_shelby

Story
Hi, I’m Scooby, a fluffy black and white cat with a quiet demeanor. I’m more on the reserved side. I enjoy curling up in a ball for a good nap. I may take my time warming up to new faces, but once I’m comfortable, I enjoy hanging out with those I trust. If you're looking for a cat who’s not too demanding, I could be just the right companion for you!
