Oreo is a sweet and playful kitty who’s looking for a patient and loving home. She can be a little nervous with new people, but once she warms up, she’s affectionate and enjoys being picked up by her family. Her favorite activities include lounging in the sunshine, playing with her feline friends, and even going outside for harnessed adventures! Oreo has lived with other cats, including her buddies Coconut and Daisy, who is also up for adoption here at Dakin. She has also done well in a home with dogs and older kids, though she prefers a quieter environment without young children. With time and love, Oreo will show you her playful, loving side and become a wonderful companion! Change is hard for this cat. This cat will be very nervous when you first bring them home. Yeti is a very special girl with a heart full of love. Estimated to be around 9 years old, she was found matted, dirty, and struggling to survive on the streets last winter. Thankfully, one of our dedicated volunteers was able to rescue her, and Yeti has spent the past 11 months in a foster home, gradually adjusting to life indoors.At first, Yeti was very scared, but even during those early months, she would purr if you sat next to her crate, showing her quiet desire for connection. Now, Yeti has blossomed into a loving house cat, and her transformation has been nothing short of remarkable. Introducing Emeril â&#194&#128&#194&#148 a cat with a dash of personality and a whole lot of heart! Emeril came to the shelter after his human sadly lost their housing. Understandably, this big change made Emeril very wary, and when he first arrived, we weren't able to touch him at all. Emeril is a cat whoâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s very particular about the people he trusts, and he takes his time deciding who earns that trust. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a bit of an independent spirit, and his new adopter will need to be patient, understanding, and cat-savvy.
