Story
Jennyanydots is an incredibly shy but sweet lady. During the day Jenny is happiest curled up on her foster moms pillow or sitting in a sunny window. At night she comes out in the kitchen and curls up on the dining room chairs and watches the activity of the other cats and her foster dad, because he is the family night owl. Jenny loves to be pet but she is shy about approaching. She will come up to you when things are very quiet and calm or prefers you approach her slowly. She would do well in a forever home that is calm where she can enjoy her golden years. In her foster home she has been around other cats, the family dogs and kids of all ages (though she typically keeps out of sight when young children are around). Born 1/3/2014 Jennyanydots grew up as a street/porch cat in the Fairmount neighborhood of Fort Worth. One day a nice family noticed that Jenny was looking pretty thin and worn and decided to help her out. They took her to get spayed and her shots. Then they brought her to Meowntown to find her a loving family. Due to her life on the streets Jenny had some pretty bad teeth that had to be pulled. The vet also discovered she was missing several other teeth and had some that were broken. The vet said it was most likely from trying to break into containers trying to get food and defending herself on the street. Because of her dental problems, Jenny will require annual teeth cleanings and a wet food diet to help keep her happy and healthy. She also needs help brushing and cleaning her beautiful fur coat. She is okay with other cats, dogs and older kids. If you are interested in me, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com to arrange a meeting with my foster home!

Story
Paris has a very regal aire about her. Just like most royals she is slow to trust outsiders and likes things her way! She will take time to warm up to her forever family but once she does Paris loves, loves, loves head and ear rubs but she does not like being picked up. She likes to play with cat toys, run around with her sons who are awaiting adoption and lounge on the cat tree. She also has found an empty drawer at her foster home that she loves to curl up in so she can just peak out and watch everyone. Paris is a beautiful long hair calico that came to Meowtown with her three gorgeous babies. Paris’s babies have grown up now and are looking for homes of their own so it is Paris’s turn. Paris was dumped outside by her owners when they moved thus the reason, she is slow to trust people. She got pregnant while living on the streets and so when she gets scared her fight or flight reaction says fight. Thus, she would do best in a home without small children. Thankfully a very nice lady who feeds street cats in her area found Paris and her little family and took them in until Meowtown could take over to get them vetted and adopted. Born unknown (adult) If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com to arrange a visit with my foster home!

Story
“Mama Lee-Lee,” was named during the excitement of the 2024 Paris Olympics. She carries the torch for her namesake, USA foil fencing Olympic champion, Lee Kiefer. Kiefer, a University of Kentucky med student, is lightning quick in her sport where she won gold with determined, pointed accuracy. Mama Lee-Lee had her kittens outside where she had to revert to her instincts to keep them safe and alive. She was trapped and brought inside where her med student saviors began to socialize the fluffy felines. Mama was never aggressive, but she was lightning quick to remind the humans that she set boundaries with her claws, which, unlike her namesake’s fencing foil, were very sharp. As her babies weaned and learned to love and trust humans, mama did, too. She loves to play with the jingle toy on a stick and to have her silky fur petted. She will make biscuits when spoken to sweetly and has made ‘winky eyes’ to her caregivers from her first days with them. She really LOVES her offspring and they love her. She is bonded to them all but has a distrust of dogs from her time outside, so it would be best if she were adopted with one of her girls as Asher really loves dogs and his sisters are mostly ambivalent. Born date unknown at this time Lee-Lee,” a small, smart, long-haired tuxedo kitty found refuge for her three kittens in the parking garage at the UNT Health Science Center. The kittens were taught that safety from predators, cars, (and humans who came too close) was a quick scurry into the undercarriage of the electric carts plugged in on the first floor. A cat mom who had adopted her first fur baby from Meowtown was leaving the gym at the Texas Health Science Center one evening. She had just graduated and was soon to leave to begin her residency in another state. Walking to her car, she spotted the little family in the parking garage. That feline family won the lottery that night as that med student and her med student friends made it their mission to get them safe and cared for.
