Story
Jennyanydots is a shy but sweet old lady. During the day Jenny is happiest curled up on her foster moms pillow, in the covers on the bed or sitting in a sunny window. At night she comes out in the kitchen and curls up on the dining room chairs and watches the activity of the other cats and her foster dad, because he is the family night owl. Jenny loves to be pet but she is shy about approaching. She will come up to you when things are very quiet and calm or prefers you approach her slowly. She would do well in a forever home that is calm where she can enjoy her golden years. In her foster home she has been around other cats, the family dogs and kids of all ages (though she typically keeps out of sight when young children are around) she doesn’t mind the families calm older dog. Born 1/3/2014 Jennyanydots grew up as a street/porch cat in the Fairmount neighborhood of Fort Worth. One day a nice family noticed that Jenny was looking pretty thin and worn and decided to help her out. They took her to get spayed and her shots. Then they brought her to Meowntown to find her a loving family. Due to her life on the streets Jenny had some pretty bad teeth that had to be pulled. The vet also discovered she was missing several other teeth and had some that were broken. The vet said it was most likely from trying to break into containers trying to get food and defending herself on the street. Because of her dental problems, Jenny may 0require annual teeth cleanings and a wet food diet to help keep her happy and healthy. She also needs help brushing and cleaning her beautiful fur coat. Story
“Mama Lee-Lee,” was named during the excitement of the 2024 Paris Olympics. She carries the torch for her namesake, USA foil fencing Olympic champion, Lee Kiefer. Kiefer, a University of Kentucky med student, is lightning quick in her sport where she won gold with determined, pointed accuracy. Mama Lee-Lee had her kittens outside where she had to revert to her instincts to keep them safe and alive. She was trapped and brought inside where her med student saviors began to socialize the fluffy felines. Mama was never aggressive, but she was lightning quick to remind the humans that she set boundaries with her claws, which, unlike her namesake’s fencing foil, were very sharp. As her babies weaned and learned to love and trust humans, mama did, too. She loves to play with the jingle toy on a stick and to have her silky fur petted. She will make biscuits when spoken to sweetly and has made ‘winky eyes’ to her caregivers from her first days with them. She really LOVES her offspring and they love her. She is bonded to them all but has a distrust of dogs from her time outside, so it would be best if she were adopted with one of her girls as Asher really loves dogs and his sisters are mostly ambivalent. Born 3/1/2024 estimated by vet Lee-Lee,” a small, smart, long-haired tuxedo kitty found refuge for her three kittens in the parking garage at the UNT Health Science Center. The kittens were taught that safety from predators, cars, (and humans who came too close) was a quick scurry into the undercarriage of the electric carts plugged in on the first floor. A cat mom who had adopted her first fur baby from Meowtown was leaving the gym at the Texas Health Science Center one evening. She had just graduated and was soon to leave to begin her residency in another state. Walking to her car, she spotted the little family in the parking garage. That feline family won the lottery that night as that med student and her med student friends made it their mission to get them safe and cared for. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com to arrange a visit with my foster home!

Story
**Meet Michael – The Fluffy, Shy Sweetheart** Michael was found as a stray, but he was far too sweet to leave on the streets. Now fully vetted, neutered, and ready for a loving home, this big, fluffy boy is looking for a quiet place to call his own. At two years old, Michael is a reserved observer—he enjoys watching the world around him but prefers to stay on the sidelines. He’s incredibly quiet and never makes a peep, but when it’s time for pets, he turns into a rolling, indecisive ball of fluff, not quite sure where he wants to be petted more! Michael would love a feline friend in his new home and does well with cats, dogs, and kids. With his thick coat, he’ll need regular brushing to keep knots away (and to control the endless fluff!). He’s also a pro with the litter box. If you’re looking for a laid-back, ultra-furry, and incredibly sweet companion, Michael is ready to settle in and be your quiet, loving shadow. Could you be his perfect match?

Story
Knox and Connery are best friends who were rescued after spending months living in a grocery store parking lot, dodging cars and begging for food. They are about a year and a half old and very attached to each other. Knox has an amazing long, silky, black coat. He’s very shy with new people, but once he warms up he loves to be petted and brushed. Connery is a very friendly orange tabby who loves everyone. He’s very affectionate and loves belly rubs. These sweet boys need a quiet home and patient humans to help Knox come out of his shell. Story
Greetings! I’m Clarence. I am in search of a new forever, I’m hoping for a calm, kind and gentle family. I’m a sweet Maine Coon mix born in 2016. I’m told I have an expressive and amusing face. I get along with my furry foster siblings, both feline and canine, I even let the kittens cuddle with me. I like older children, very little ones can be a little rough and I don’t enjoy being man handled. However, I love being pet and brushed. I am affectionate and enjoy a good head bump. I like contact when you’re near and will reach out if you don’t. I use my paws a lot, I even let my foster hold them and tolerate when she trims my nails as long as she is gentle. I’ll snuggle up while you sleep and keep you company when you watch TV. I am independent and can entertain myself as long as I have a window to gaze through, and the occasional toy, but I like people and want/require some attention. Clarence is vetted and has excellent litter manners. He is on a prescription diet and eats out of raised bowls. You must submit an application to be considered for adoption.
