Story
Meet Georgie! A distinguished five-and-a-half-year-old Domestic Long Hair from Flower Mound, TX, whose luxurious gray and white coat is as soft as a cloud and just as mesmerizing. This handsome gentleman is the perfect mix of independent and affectionate—he enjoys his space but also has a special fondness for early morning petting sessions, making him the ideal companion for someone who appreciates a cat with a routine. Georgie is a connoisseur of interactive play, and his absolute favorite pastime is chasing long wand toys with the grace of a feline athlete! When he’s not showing off his impressive jumping skills on his cat tree, he can be found perched by a window, deeply engrossed in his daily “conversations” with the neighborhood squirrels. His adorable chattering is a sure sign that he's always keeping a close eye on the world outside, ready to provide commentary on every little movement. This charming fellow is also quite the conversationalist, known for his vocal nature and ability to let you know exactly what he’s thinking. Whether he’s reminding you that it’s time for play, asking for head scratches, or simply expressing his opinion about the day’s events, Georgie’s chatty personality makes him an engaging and delightful companion! Since Georgie is front-declawed, he relies on his voice and body language to communicate when he’s had enough attention. He enjoys affection on his terms—head and back scratches are welcome, but he doesn’t like being picked up. He can become overstimulated and may bite if his limits aren’t respected, so a patient, cat-savvy caregiver who understands feline cues will help him feel safe and secure. Georgie is particular about his bathroom habits and requires multiple clean litter boxes. If they aren’t up to his standards, he’ll leave a “gentle reminder” just outside the box. With the recent addition of a baby to the household, he has also started territorial marking near the baby’s belongings. However, these behaviors are likely due to stress and should improve once he settles into a calm, consistent environment. Georgie is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. He does require sedation for full vet examinations, so his future caregiver should be prepared for that when scheduling check-ups. With the right home, Georgie will be a devoted and entertaining companion, always ready for a game, a cuddle, or a chat! Are you ready to welcome this regal, squirrel-watching, wand-chasing gentleman into your life? Contact adopt@joyfulpets.com to learn more about Georgie!

Story
Bella is a sweet, medium to long haired beauty with stunning green eyes. She is very affectionate and loves attention.  She loves pets and does a cute little dance when she's getting loved on. Bella was a "feral" who we quickly realized was rather sweet and eager for human interaction. She gets along with most cats but definately prefers males over females.  She does not mind calm dogs but prefers the ones who are overly intersted in her stay away.  Bella is kid friendly. Bella is fully vetted.  She is FIV+ Concerned about adopting an FIV+ CAT? DON'T BE! FIV+ cats can have the same life expectancy as uninfected cats as long as they are kept healthy. A good diet and keeping your cat indoors are the best ways to keep your cat's immune system strong and your cat healthy! FIV+ cats CAN live with other cats! FIV is only transmitted to other CATS through deep puncture wounds. (Usually through mating) As long as everyone is sterilized, happy and get along, there is no concern of infecting other cats in the home. FIV only infects cats. It cannot be transmitted to other species pets or humans. They love just as hard as any other cat! If you're interested in meeting this love bug, please fill out an application for adoption (or foster) to set up a time to meet her! Feel free to send us a message with any questions! ##2020417##

Story
Boots was originally adopted in 2012 as a kitten, along with his sister Gracie. He has had a wonderful life with his humans until one day mom human passed away. This was very sad for Boots but he had his Dad human.... until this year when Dad had to go to a care facility and there was no way to take Boots or Gracie. We took both Boots and Gracie and have tried to give them the love and care they deserve at our foster facility. It is not ideal as they really would prefer the constant company of humans. They can be separated. They do not appear to be bonded. Boots is confused and sad but is making progress in being more comfortable with new human friends. We understand that not everyone can manage the care of a senior when it could involve medical issues and vet bills. He has had a senior physical and is in excellent health. We are willing to sponsor their medical/vet costs. If you would like to meet Boots, please email us at adopt@feralfriends.org. We are looking for either a foster home or a forever home. If you would like to adopt, please submit an adoption application through our website: www.feralfriends.org

Story
Lu Lou has long silky white hair and the markings of a calico. Her initial appearance mirrors a normal cat. When she walks you will notice a slight sway (swagger!) in her rear end. Her functionality is excellent. All radiology tests were considered within normal range. It is possible that she has a very mild case of Cerebella Hypoplasia. *** She just wags that back end in the cutest way. Lu Lou is extremely affectionate and thrives on human attention. Can she play? Oh yes, she bats the little felt balls around, hides behind doors, then shuts them!! She loves climbing up her cat tree and watching the birds and squirrels. (Photo shows bird watching) Remember that saying, they wiggle and they waggle but they will not fall down. (well maybe once in a while) That is our Lu Lou. Seems to be okay with quiet non- confrontational catsPlease consider meeting her. It will be love at first sight.***Cats with cerebellar hypoplasia have a good prognosis for quality and length of life. Since the condition is not progressive or fatal, symptoms will not worsen over time or affect the overall lifespan of your cat. Cats with cerebellar hypoplasia will live the same length of time as non-affected cats and have no other behavioral abnormalities or health issues as a result of the condition. If you would like to adopt, please submit an adoption application through our website: www.feralfriends.org

Story
Hello, I am Sven! I have lived at Dog & Kitty City since June 25, 2018, when I was surrendered to the shelter by my owner because I tested positive for feline leukemia, and she had other cats in the home. I have always been shy with people, but I get along just fine with the other cats in the leukemia room. To be perfectly honest, I really prefer to stay outside on the Catio, away from people altogether. I hiss and bare my teeth, umm fangs, when they approach me to scare them away. When it is time for canned food, I may pop right through the cat door and come inside to chow down! Sven is not available for adoption and available for our Guardian Angel Program. If you would like to sponsor me to help pay for my food and vet care, please go to the Donation page on the website Become a Guardian Angel. Story
Dusty is a beautiful sweet boy who has gorgeous long hair, also a good singer(yes when you sing he will be singing along), can be needy and look for love and attention as he wish, sometimes cry for food lol. I am sadly moving to a different country and can't provide him a stable home for a long while and really don't want to have him suffered from anything, so I am looking for a new loving home for my babies. Dusty has been with me for almost 5 years since he was 3 months, he also have a different parents sister Daisy( see last pic, she is the sweetest girl in the world), I prefer not to separate them since they love and give each other good company. I'll provide litter boxes/ cat tree/ water fountain/ food feeder, and everything else that belongs to them which all covered by adoption fee, prefer experienced adopters, I have so many good stories and photos of them, would love to hear from them, please let me know if you are interested to be their new parent.
