You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.North Texas Cat Rescue P.O Box 1504 McKinney, TX 75070 214.454.9395 www.northtexascatrescue.com We have a bit of an unusual situation; we have a bonded trio of cats. We’re fairly certain that Peychaud is the dad to Skye and Whiskey. They were all dumped outside where a really nice lady trapped them and had them fixed. Thankfully, we were able to help and got them inside before a cold front hit. They are all sweet, but are shy at first. Skye is the smallest and most reserved/shyest of the trio. She has adjusted really well to being indoors only. She has excellent litter box manners and uses a scratching post well. These 3 babies were definitely someone’s pets at one time, but for some unknown reason, they were dumped and left to fend for themselves. They are great with other cats and are tolerant of dogs. We do not believe they will do well in a home with small children as they prefer a quiet environment. If you’re interested in meeting them, please fill out an application on NTCR’s website. Please note, we do not adopt out-of-state and as they are a bonded trio, most apartment complexes have a 2-pet maximum.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please contact NTCR AT 214.454.9395 should you have any concerns or questions. Please note: We appreciate all interest in our cats and kittens, but we are an all volunteer organization. Please be patient with regard to a call back. Should you need to surrender the cat you adopted from NTCR, please email us at surrenderNTCRcat@northtexascatrescue.com. August 19, 2024, 10:14 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.North Texas Cat Rescue P.O Box 1504 McKinney, TX 75070 214.454.9395 www.northtexascatrescue.com Magnolia was adopted as a kitten, but she is back looking for her purrmanent home after being let outside when not liking the child in the home.  We have not seen her interactions with children since she's been back, but would recommend her new home be just adults.   She is a love bug with her foster mom, likes pets and looking out the window, but it took a while to gain her trust so she needs a home that will give her time.  Ideally she'd be an only kitty, but she gets along fine with kitties who are chill and even lets more type A ones do their thing unless they get right in her face. She likes to play, but she's shy and usually plays when she thinks no one is watching :)  This girl has personality! At 16 lbs she could stand to lose some weight, but we're not working on that yet - she LOVES her temptation treats and will talk to you when you bring them and loves the petting that comes with them. Story
Mango is a doll. She has a beautifully sweet disposition about her.  She loves cuddling and being pet. She is on the shy side and easily frightened. She has been returned numerous times for peeing outside the box which has been attributed to possible stressful triggers. She gets along with cats and dogs but would do best with an adult kitties and dogs that she gets along with. A home with older children only, small children and loud environments would not be a good fit for her.  Her foster home leaves her in a smaller area to limit stressful situations and this seems to help alleviate any poor potty habits. A home that understands that she’s special would best suit her needs, as well as one that understands and is patient with her to work through any times she’s having problems. She is long hair and needs help grooming especially her chubby backside. She is a gorgeous cat with incredibly soft rabbit type furr.  Are you a well seasoned cat owner and looking for that special one?Anyone interested in our dogs/cats will be required to fill out an adoption application. We do not adopt to anyone living outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. All our dogs/cats will be spayed/neutered, heart worm tested (dogs), FeLV/FIV tested (cats), microchipped, and current on vaccinations. We do not adopt on a first-come first-served basis. We review all applications received to ensure that the animal and the applicant are a good match based on our personal experiences with the animal. Story
All of our cats are current on vaccines, combo tested (FIV/FELV) , spayed/neutered, microchipped, given rabies vaccine as age appropriate, flea treatment and dewormer as needed   Peanut, approx DOB 11/17/19, was abandoned when his previous owners moved out of their apartment. Fortunately, he found a feral colony that was being fed to hang out with, but the outside world was no life for him. To make matters worse, he ended up with a horrible ear infection while he was outside which resulted in him becoming mostly deaf. He can sometimes hear really loud noises, but we estimate his hearing loss to be about 80-85%. Additionally, since he was abandoned, he is very slow to warm up to people and trust them, but he absolutely adores other cats and is very dependent on them. For the most part, he does not even want to eat unless he has a friend to keep him company. Peanut will be looking for a quiet home with at least one other very cat-friendly cat to be his BFF. Peanut's favorite activities are lounging around looking regal, playing with track ball towers, and getting wet food. He really enjoys being petted, but can still be a bit shy to accept the pets until he realizes how awesome they are .  T-AW**Want to adopt? Story
Hi! My name is Emorie and I'm a sweet little calico girl with silky long hair. I love to run and play with my other foster friends at my foster home. I have a sweet little meow that will melt your heart and will tell you all about the news going on around me. I can be a little shy at first so I might do better in a home without small children. My favorite time is when I get to snuggle in my foster mom's arms at night while she watches TV. She tells me I'm such a good little girl and I keep my area clean and tidy for her. She also says I'm very cute with my wispy ears and pointy face. I have been around the grown up kitties at my foster home and I respect them and I have also been around a big 'ole dog too. I am waiting for my special family to come along and just want someone to love me. If you would like to adopt, please submit an adoption application through our website: www.feralfriends.org
