Story
Loving Half-Persian, Half-Munchkin Kitten Needs a Calm, Child-Free Home. I adopted him when he was just 4 weeks old after his previous owner could no longer keep him. He is now 7 months old, healthy, playful, and full of personality. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, he has not adjusted well to living in a home with young children. He tends to play too rough, especially with my 5-year-old, and I want to ensure both my child's and the kitten's well-being. It breaks my heart to let this kitten go, but after speaking with a behavioral specialist, I realize that rehoming him is the best decision for both. He would thrive in a calm, child-free environment where he can get the attention and care he needs. He is affectionate on his terms, enjoys interactive play, and would do best with someone who understands cat behavior and can provide him with a patient and structured home. He has a neutering appointment scheduled, and I am happy to cover the cost for his new owner.

Story
Rhiannon (aka Rhi-Rhi aka Little Lion) is a special cat looking for a calm home to spend the rest of her days. She loves to give gentle face sniffs, get a good brushing, and of course receive some good chin and ear scratches. Her two absolute favorite things in the world are lounging in afternoon sunny spots and her crinkled paper ball. Rhiannon spends most of the day dozing, but as soon as she hears the rustle of her paper ball she is at the ready to play a very slow game of fetch. She truly carries one of her many crinkled balls with her everywhere she goes and back to her bed before snuggling up to nap again. She also loves to stand on her hind-legs at the window and chirp at the birds! While Rhiannon still has a playful side, she is arthritic and a bit wobbly when she moves around. She takes 3 medications daily mixed into wet food (no fuss). She would do best in a home without other pets or very young children. (She has lived with another cat successfully while in the shelter, but she has not befriended her foster’s cats.) She’s made great progress in her foster home, opening up to receiving pets and being brushed, but she can still startle easily. She would benefit from living with someone who can read cat body language well and provide her space when requested. She will do best in a calm home with children.over 10 years old. She loves to play more than anything. She’ll give you a gentle nudge in the morning or walk around with the wand in her mouth to let you know it’s time for the games to begin. This smart girl also needs lots of mental stimulation, so changing up playtime and toys is a good idea. However, she does love cardboard boxes of all sizes! Playtime may be the most important aspect of caring for Valentina and she will entertain you with flying leaps, plus other athletic and goofy moves. She would do best in a home where the adopters are willing to play several times throughout the day and evening, and possibly not out of the home a lot.  Valentina enjoys having her humans around as much as possible and likes to be near you just to hang out. When you leave, she may nap near the front door awaiting your return. She also loves when you have people over! A friendly host, each guest will be personally greeted with a hello, chirp and sniff. Still, it’s best to go slow and follow her lead with petting as she likes them on her own terms. Her very expressive tail will give you a sign. There’s also still time for cat tv and Valentina spends a good part of the morning on her window perch. Valentina is on a special diet to keep her allergies in check, and as a bonus, it keeps her gorgeous fur silky soft.
